Zechariah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 Again I raised my eyes, and this is what I saw: four chariots coming out between two mountains, andthe mountains were mountains of bronze.	1 Et rursus levavi oculos meos et vidi: et ecce quattuor quadrigaeegredientes de medio duorum montium; et montes, montes aerei.
2 The first chariot had red horses, the second chariot had black horses,	2 In quadrigaprima equi rufi, et in quadriga secunda equi nigri,
3 the third chariot had white horses and the fourth chariot had vigorous, piebald horses.	3 et in quadriga tertia equialbi, et in quadriga quarta equi varii.
4 I asked the angel who was talking to me, 'What are these, my lord?'	4 Et respondi et dixi ad angelum, quiloquebatur in me: “Quid sunt haec, domine mi?”.
5 The angel replied, 'They are the four winds of heaven now leaving, after attending the Lord of the wholeworld.	5 Et respondit angelus etait ad me: “Isti sunt quattuor venti caeli, qui egrediuntur, postquamsteterunt coram Dominatore omnis terrae”.
6 The black horses are leaving for the land of the north; the white are following them, and the piebald areleaving for the land of the south.'	6 In qua erant equi nigri,egrediebantur in terram aquilonis, et albi egressi sunt post eos, et variiegressi sunt ad terram austri.
7 They came out vigorously, eager to patrol the world. He said to them, 'Go and patrol the world.' Andthey patrol ed the world.	7 Et equi fortes exierunt et quaerebant ire etdiscurrere per terram. Et dixit: “Ite, perambulate terram”. Etperambulaverunt terram.
8 He called to me and said, 'Look, the ones going to the land of the north brought my spirit to rest on theland of the north.'	8 Et vocavit me et locutus est ad me dicens: “Ecce,qui egrediuntur in terram aquilonis requiescere fecerunt spiritum meum in terraaquilonis”.
9 Then the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	9 Et factum est verbum Domini ad me dicens:
10 'Col ect silver and gold from the exiles, from Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, then (you yourself go thesame day) go to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah, who has arrived from Babylon.	10 “Sume ab his, qui decaptivitate sunt, ab Holdai et a Thobia et ab Iedaia, et venies tu in die illaet intrabis domum Iosiae filii Sophoniae, qui venerunt de Babylone.
11 Then, taking the silver and gold, make a crown and place it on the head of the high priest Joshua sonof Jehozadak.	11 Et sumesargentum et aurum et facies coronam et pones in capite Iesua filii Iosedec,sacerdotis magni,
12 And say this to him, "Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Here is a man whose name is Branch; where he is,there will be a branching out (and he wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary).	12 et loqueris ad eum dicens: Haec ait Dominus exercituumdicens: Ecce vir, Germen nomen eius; et in loco suo aliquid germinabit etaedificabit templum Domini.
13 Yes, he is the one who wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary; he wil wear the royal insignia and sit on histhrone and govern, with a priest on his right. Perfect peace wil reign between these two.	13 Et ipse exstruet templum Domini; et ipse portabitgloriam et sedebit et dominabitur super solio suo; et erit sacerdos ad dexterameius, et consilium pacis erit inter illos duos.
14 And the crown wil serve Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah and the son of Zephaniah as a memorial of favour inYahweh's sanctuary.	14 Et corona erit Helem etThobiae et Iedaiae et Hen filio Sophoniae memoriale in templo Domini.
15 And those now far away wil come and work on the building of Yahweh's sanctuary." 'Then you willknow that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you. It wil happen if you diligently obey the voice of Yahweh yourGod.'	15 Et quiprocul sunt, venient et aedificabunt in templo Domini; et scietis quia Dominusexercituum misit me ad vos. Erit autem hoc, si oboedieritis voci Domini Deivestri” ”.
