Zechariah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 Again I raised my eyes, and this is what I saw: four chariots coming out between two mountains, andthe mountains were mountains of bronze.	1 Je levai à nouveau les yeux et j'eus une vision. Voici: quatre chars sortaient d'entre les deuxmontagnes; et les montagnes étaient des montagnes d'airain.
2 The first chariot had red horses, the second chariot had black horses,	2 Au premier char, il y avait des chevaux roux; au deuxième char, des chevaux noirs;
3 the third chariot had white horses and the fourth chariot had vigorous, piebald horses.	3 au troisième char, des chevaux blancs et au quatrième char, des chevaux pie vigoureux.
4 I asked the angel who was talking to me, 'What are these, my lord?'	4 Prenant la parole, je dis à l'ange qui me parlait: "Que signifient ceux-ci, mon Seigneur?"
5 The angel replied, 'They are the four winds of heaven now leaving, after attending the Lord of the wholeworld.	5 L'ange me répondit: "Ces quatre vents du ciel s'avancent après s'être tenus devant le Seigneur detoute la terre.
6 The black horses are leaving for the land of the north; the white are following them, and the piebald areleaving for the land of the south.'	6 Là où sont les chevaux noirs, ils s'avancent vers le pays du nord; les blancs s'avancent derrière eux,et les pie s'avancent vers le pays du midi."
7 They came out vigorously, eager to patrol the world. He said to them, 'Go and patrol the world.' Andthey patrol ed the world.	7 Vigoureux, ils avançaient, impatients de parcourir la terre. Il leur dit: "Allez parcourir la terre." Etils parcoururent la terre.
8 He called to me and said, 'Look, the ones going to the land of the north brought my spirit to rest on theland of the north.'	8 Il m'appela et me dit: "Vois, ceux qui s'avancent vers le pays du nord vont faire descendre monesprit dans le pays du nord."
9 Then the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	9 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
10 'Col ect silver and gold from the exiles, from Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, then (you yourself go thesame day) go to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah, who has arrived from Babylon.	10 Fais une collecte auprès des exilés, de Heldaï, de Tobiyya et de Yedaya, puis (tu iras, toi, en cejour-là) tu iras chez Yoshiyya, fils de Cephanya, qui est arrivé de Babylone.
11 Then, taking the silver and gold, make a crown and place it on the head of the high priest Joshua sonof Jehozadak.	11 Tu prendras l'argent et l'or, tu feras une couronne et tu la mettras sur la tête de Josué, fils deYehoçadaq, le grand prêtre.
12 And say this to him, "Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Here is a man whose name is Branch; where he is,there will be a branching out (and he wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary).	12 Puis tu lui parleras en ces termes: Ainsi parle Yahvé Sabaot. Voici un homme dont le nom estGerme; là où il est, quelque chose va germer (et il reconstruira le sanctuaire de Yahvé).
13 Yes, he is the one who wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary; he wil wear the royal insignia and sit on histhrone and govern, with a priest on his right. Perfect peace wil reign between these two.	13 C'est lui qui reconstruira le sanctuaire de Yahvé, c'est lui qui portera les insignes royaux. Ilsiégera sur son trône en dominateur, et il y aura un prêtre à sa droite. Une paix parfaite régnera entre eux deux.
14 And the crown wil serve Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah and the son of Zephaniah as a memorial of favour inYahweh's sanctuary.	14 Quant à la couronne, elle sera pour Heldaï, Tobiyya, Yedaya et pour le fils de Cephanya, enmémorial de grâce dans le sanctuaire de Yahvé.
15 And those now far away wil come and work on the building of Yahweh's sanctuary." 'Then you willknow that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you. It wil happen if you diligently obey the voice of Yahweh yourGod.'	15 Alors ceux qui sont au loin viendront reconstruire le sanctuaire de Yahvé, et vous saurez queYahvé Sabaot m'a envoyé vers vous. Cela se produira si vous écoutez parfaitement la voix de Yahvé votre Dieu.
