Zechariah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLES DES PEUPLES
1 Again I raised my eyes, and this is what I saw: four chariots coming out between two mountains, andthe mountains were mountains of bronze.	1 De nouveau je regarde, et voici ce que je vois: il y a là deux montagnes de bronze, et quatre chars sortent d’entre les deux montagnes.
2 The first chariot had red horses, the second chariot had black horses,	2 Le premier char est tiré par des chevaux roux, le deuxième par des chevaux noirs,
3 the third chariot had white horses and the fourth chariot had vigorous, piebald horses.	3 le troisième par des chevaux blancs et le quatrième par des chevaux blancs et noirs.
4 I asked the angel who was talking to me, 'What are these, my lord?'	4 Je prends la parole et je dis à l’ange qui me parle: “Que veut dire cela, mon Seigneur?”
5 The angel replied, 'They are the four winds of heaven now leaving, after attending the Lord of the wholeworld.	5 L’ange me répond: “Ce sont les quatre vents du ciel qui viennent de se présenter devant le Seigneur de toute la terre.
6 The black horses are leaving for the land of the north; the white are following them, and the piebald areleaving for the land of the south.'	6 Le char avec les chevaux noirs part vers le pays du Nord, les blancs vont à l’ouest vers la mer, et ceux qui sont blancs et noirs s’avancent vers le pays du Sud.”
7 They came out vigorously, eager to patrol the world. He said to them, 'Go and patrol the world.' Andthey patrol ed the world.	7 Il fallait les retenir car ils étaient impatients de parcourir toute la terre. Dès que l’ange leur dit: “Allez, parcourez la terre!” ils partirent et ils parcoururent la terre.
8 He called to me and said, 'Look, the ones going to the land of the north brought my spirit to rest on theland of the north.'	8 L’ange alors m’appelle et me dit: “Regarde, ceux qui s’avancent vers le pays du Nord vont tranquilliser l’esprit de Yahvé dans le pays du Nord.”
9 Then the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	9 Une parole de Yahvé me fut adressée:
10 'Col ect silver and gold from the exiles, from Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, then (you yourself go thesame day) go to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah, who has arrived from Babylon.	10 “Recueille des mains de Heldaï, de Tobiyas et de Yédaya, les offrandes de ceux qui sont revenus de la captivité. Tu iras ensuite chez Yochiya fils de Séfanyas qui est également rentré de Babylone,
11 Then, taking the silver and gold, make a crown and place it on the head of the high priest Joshua sonof Jehozadak.	11 et avec cet argent et cet or tu feras faire une couronne que tu iras placer sur la tête de Josué fils de Yosadak, le grand prêtre.
12 And say this to him, "Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Here is a man whose name is Branch; where he is,there will be a branching out (and he wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary).	12 Alors tu lui diras: “Voici ce que dit Yahvé Sabaot: Le nom de cet homme est ‘Germe’, et de lui germera quelque chose.
13 Yes, he is the one who wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary; he wil wear the royal insignia and sit on histhrone and govern, with a priest on his right. Perfect peace wil reign between these two.	13 C’est lui qui rebâtira le Temple de Yahvé; il portera les vêtements royaux et siégera comme suprême gouverneur. Il aura un prêtre à sa droite et entre eux ce sera l’union parfaite.
14 And the crown wil serve Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah and the son of Zephaniah as a memorial of favour inYahweh's sanctuary.	14 “La couronne restera dans le Temple de Yahvé à la mémoire de Heldaï, Tobiyas, Yédaya et Josué.
15 And those now far away wil come and work on the building of Yahweh's sanctuary." 'Then you willknow that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you. It wil happen if you diligently obey the voice of Yahweh yourGod.'	15 Ceux qui sont au loin viendront reconstruire le Temple de Yahvé (et vous saurez que Yahvé Sabaot m’a envoyé vers vous). Mais il faut pour cela que vous écoutiez vraiment la voix de Yahvé votre Dieu.”
