Zechariah 2

NEW JERUSALEM	GREEK BIBLE
1 Then, raising my eyes, I had a vision. It was this: There were four horns.	1 Και υψωσα τους οφθαλμους μου και ειδον και ιδου, ανηρ και σχοινιον μετρικον εν τη χειρι αυτου?
2 I said to the angel who was talking to me, 'What are these?' He said to me, 'These are the horns whichscattered Judah (Israel) and Jerusalem.'	2 και ειπα, Που υπαγεις συ; Ο δε ειπε προς εμε, να μετρησω την Ιερουσαλημ, δια να ιδω ποιον το πλατος αυτης και ποιον το μηκος αυτης.
3 Yahweh then showed me four smiths.	3 Και ιδου, ο αγγελος ο λαλων μετ' εμου εξηλθε, και ετερος αγγελος εξηλθεν εις συναντησιν αυτου
4 And I said, 'What are these coming to do?' He said to me, '(Those horns scattered Judah so completelythat no one dared to raise his head; but) these have come to terrify them, to throw down the horns of the nationswho raised their horns over the land of Judah to scatter it.'	4 και ειπε προς αυτον, Δραμε, λαλησον προς τον νεανιαν τουτον, λεγων, Η Ιερουσαλημ θελει κατοικηθη ατειχιστως εξ αιτιας του πληθους των εν αυτη ανθρωπων και κτηνων?
5 Then, raising my eyes, I had a vision. There was a man with a measuring line in his hand.	5 διοτι εγω, λεγει Κυριος, θελω εισθαι εις αυτην τειχος πυρος κυκλω και θελω εισθαι προς δοξαν εν μεσω αυτης.
6 I asked him, 'Where are you going?' He said, 'To measure Jerusalem, to calculate her width and length.'	6 Ω, ω? φευγετε απο της γης του βορρα, λεγει Κυριος? διοτι σας διεσκορπισα προς τους τεσσαρας ανεμους του ουρανου, λεγει Κυριος.
7 And then, while the angel who was talking to me walked away, another angel came out to meet him.	7 Ω, διασωθητι, Σιων, η κατοικουσα μετα της θυγατρος της Βαβυλωνος.
8 He said to him, 'Run, and tell that young man this, "Jerusalem is to remain unwal ed, because of the great number of men and cattle inside.	8 Διοτι ουτω λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων? Μετα την δοξαν με απεστειλε προς τα εθνη, τα οποια σας ελεηλατησαν? διοτι οστις εγγιζει εσας, εγγιζει την κορην του οφθαλμου αυτου.
9 For I -- Yahweh declares -- shal be a wall of fire al round her and I shal be the Glory within her." '	9 Διοτι, ιδου, εγω θελω σεισει την χειρα μου επ' αυτα και θελουσιν εισθαι λαφυρον εις τους δουλευοντας αυτα? και θελετε γνωρισει οτι ο Κυριος των δυναμεων με απεστειλε.
10 Look out! Look out! Flee from the land of the north -- Yahweh declares- for I have scattered you to thefour winds of heaven -- Yahweh declares.	10 Τερπου και ευφραινου, θυγατερ Σιων? διοτι ιδου, εγω ερχομαι και θελω κατοικησει εν μεσω σου, λεγει Κυριος.
11 Look out! Make your escape, Zion, now living with the daughter of Babylon!	11 Και εθνη πολλα θελουσιν ενωθη μετα του Κυριου εν τη ημερα εκεινη και θελουσιν εισθαι λαος μου, και θελω κατοικησει εν μεσω σου, και θελει, γνωρισει οτι ο Κυριος των δυναμεων με εξαπεστειλε προς σε.
12 For Yahweh Sabaoth says this, since the Glory commissioned me, about the nations who plunderedyou, 'Whoever touches you touches the apple of my eye.	12 Και ο Κυριος θελει κατακληρονομησει τον Ιουδαν δια μεριδα αυτου εν τη γη τη αγια και θελει εκλεξει παλιν την Ιερουσαλημ.
13 Now look, I shal wave my hand over them and they wil be plundered by those whom they haveenslaved.' Then you wil know that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me!	13 Σιωπα, πασα σαρξ, ενωπιον του Κυριου? διοτι εξηγερθη απο της κατοικιας της αγιοτητος αυτου.
14 Sing, rejoice, daughter of Zion, for now I am coming to live among you -Yahweh declares!
15 And on that day many nations will be converted to Yahweh. Yes, they wil become his people, and theywil live among you. Then you wil know that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you!
16 Yahweh wil take possession of Judah, his portion in the Holy Land, and again make Jerusalem hischoice.
17 Let al people be silent before Yahweh, now that he is stirring from his holy Dwel ing!
