Zechariah 2

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Then, raising my eyes, I had a vision. It was this: There were four horns.	1 Yo levanté los ojos, y tuve una visión: Había cuatro cuernos.
2 I said to the angel who was talking to me, 'What are these?' He said to me, 'These are the horns whichscattered Judah (Israel) and Jerusalem.'	2 Entonces pregunté al ángel que hablaba conmigo: «¿Qué son estos cuernos?». El me respondió: «Son los cuernos que dispersaron a Judá, a Israel y a Jerusalén».
3 Yahweh then showed me four smiths.	3 Después el Señor me mostró cuatro herreros.
4 And I said, 'What are these coming to do?' He said to me, '(Those horns scattered Judah so completelythat no one dared to raise his head; but) these have come to terrify them, to throw down the horns of the nationswho raised their horns over the land of Judah to scatter it.'	4 Yo pregunté: «¿Qué vienen a hacer estos?». El me respondió: «Aquellos son los cuernos que dispersaron a Judá, a tal punto que nadie podía levantar la cabeza; pero estos han venido para aterrarlos, para derribar los cuernos de las naciones que atacaron al país de Judá, a fin de dispersarlo».
5 Then, raising my eyes, I had a vision. There was a man with a measuring line in his hand.	5 Yo levanté los ojos, y tuve una visión: Había un hombre que tenía en la mano una cuerda de medir.
6 I asked him, 'Where are you going?' He said, 'To measure Jerusalem, to calculate her width and length.'	6 Entonces le pregunté: «¿A dónde vas?». El me respondió: «Voy a medir Jerusalén, para ver cuánto tiene de ancho y cuánto de largo».
7 And then, while the angel who was talking to me walked away, another angel came out to meet him.	7 Mientras el ángel que hablaba conmigo estaba allí, otro ángel le salió a su encuentro
8 He said to him, 'Run, and tell that young man this, "Jerusalem is to remain unwal ed, because of the great number of men and cattle inside.	8 y le dijo: «Corre, habla a ese joven y dile: "Jerusalén será una ciudad abierta por la gran cantidad de hombres y animales que habrá en ella.
9 For I -- Yahweh declares -- shal be a wall of fire al round her and I shal be the Glory within her." '	9 Yo seré para ella –oráculo del Señor– una muralla de fuego a su alrededor, y seré su Gloria en medio de ella"».
10 Look out! Look out! Flee from the land of the north -- Yahweh declares- for I have scattered you to thefour winds of heaven -- Yahweh declares.	10 ¡Vamos! Huyan del país del Norte –oráculo del Señor– porque yo los dispersé a los cuatro vientos del cielo –oráculo del Señor–
11 Look out! Make your escape, Zion, now living with the daughter of Babylon!	11 ¡Vamos! ¡Sálvate, Sión, tú, que habitas en Babilonia!
12 For Yahweh Sabaoth says this, since the Glory commissioned me, about the nations who plunderedyou, 'Whoever touches you touches the apple of my eye.	12 Porque así habla el Señor de los ejércitos a las naciones que los despojaron –ya que el que los toca a ustedes, toca la pupila de mis ojos–:
13 Now look, I shal wave my hand over them and they wil be plundered by those whom they haveenslaved.' Then you wil know that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me!	13 ¡Sí, yo levanto mi mano contra ellos, y serán despojados por sus mis mismos esclavos! ¡Así ustedes sabrán que me ha enviado el Señor de los ejércitos!
14 Sing, rejoice, daughter of Zion, for now I am coming to live among you -Yahweh declares!	14 Grita de júbilo y alégrate, hija de Sión: porque yo vengo a habitar en medio de ti –oráculo del Señor–.
15 And on that day many nations will be converted to Yahweh. Yes, they wil become his people, and theywil live among you. Then you wil know that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you!	15 Aquel día, muchas naciones se unirán al Señor: ellas serán un pueblo para él y habitarán en medio de ti. ¡Así sabrás que me ha enviado a ti el Señor de los ejércitos!
16 Yahweh wil take possession of Judah, his portion in the Holy Land, and again make Jerusalem hischoice.	16 El Señor tendrá a Judá como herencia, como su parte en la Tierra santa, y elegirá de nuevo a Jerusalén.
17 Let al people be silent before Yahweh, now that he is stirring from his holy Dwel ing!	17 ¡Que callen todos los hombres delante del Señor, porque él surge de su santa Morada!
