1 Prophecy about Nineveh. Book of the vision of Nahum of Elkosh.	1 وحي على نينوى. سفر رؤيا ناحوم الالقوشي
2 Yahweh is a jealous and vengeful God, Yahweh takes vengeance, he is rich in wrath; Yahweh takesvengeance on his foes, he stores up fury for his enemies.	2 الرب اله غيور ومنتقم. الرب منتقم وذو سخط. الرب منتقم من مبغضيه وحافظ غضبه على اعدائه.
3 Yahweh is slow to anger but great in power, Yahweh never lets evil go unpunished. In storm andwhirlwind he takes his way, the clouds are the dust stirred up by his feet.	3 الرب بطيء الغضب وعظيم القدرة ولكنه لا يبرئ البتة. الرب في الزوبعة وفي العاصف طريقه والسحاب غبار رجليه
4 He rebukes the sea, dries it up, and makes all the rivers run dry. . . . Bashan and Carmel wither, thegreenery of the Lebanon withers too.	4 ينتهر البحر فينشفه ويجفف جميع الانهار. يذبل باشان والكرمل وزهر لبنان يذبل.
5 The mountains tremble before him, the hills reel; the earth col apses before him, the world and al wholive in it.	5 الجبال ترجف منه والتلال تذوب والارض ترفع من وجهه والعالم وكل الساكنين فيه.
6 His fury -- who can withstand it? Who can endure his burning wrath? His anger pours out like fire andthe rocks break apart before him.	6 من يقف امام سخطه ومن يقوم في حمو غضبه. غيظه ينسكب كالنار والصخور تنهدم منه.
7 Yahweh is better than a fortress in time of distress; he recognises those who trust in him	7 صالح هو الرب حصن في يوم الضيق وهو يعرف المتوكلين عليه.
8 even when the flood rushes on; he wil make an end once and for al of those who defy him, and pursuehis foes into darkness.	8 ولكن بطوفان عابر يصنع هلاكا تاما لموضعها واعداؤه يتبعهم ظلام
9 What are your thoughts about Yahweh? He it is who makes a final end: his adversaries wil not rise upa second time;	9 ماذا تفتكرون على الرب. هو صانع هلاكا تاما. لا يقوم الضيق مرتين.
10 like a thicket of tangled brambles, like dry straw, they wil be burnt up completely. To Assyria	10 فانهم وهم مشتبكون مثل الشوك وسكرانون كمن خمرهم يؤكلون كالقش اليابس بالكمال.
11 From you has emerged someone plotting evil against Yahweh, one of Belial's counsel ors. To Judah	11 منك خرج المفتكر على الرب شرا المشير بالهلاك
12 Yahweh says this: Unopposed and many though they be, they wil be cut down and pass away.Though I have made you suffer, I shal make you suffer no more,	12 هكذا قال الرب. ان كانوا سالمين وكثيرين هكذا فهكذا يجزّون فيعبر. اذللتك. لا اذلّك ثانية.
13 for now I shal break his yoke which presses hard on you and snap your chains. To the king ofNineveh	13 والآن اكسر نيره عنك واقطع ربطك.
14 As for you, this is Yahweh's decree: You wil have no heirs to your name, from the temple of your godsI shal remove carved image and cast image, and I shal devastate your tomb, for you are accursed!	14 ولكن قد اوصى عنك الرب لا يزرع من اسمك في ما بعد. اني اقطع من بيت الهك التماثيل المنحوتة والمسبوكة. اجعله قبرك لانك صرت حقيرا
	15 هوذا على الجبال قدما مبشّر مناد بالسلام عيّدي يا يهوذا اعيادك اوفي نذورك فانه لا يعود يعبر فيك ايضا المهلك. قد انقرض كله
