NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS

2 Yahweh is a jealous and vengeful God, Yahweh takes vengeance, he is rich in wrath; Yahweh takesvengeance on his foes, he stores up fury for his enemies.	2 [Alef] El señor es un Dios celoso y vengador, el Señor es vengador e irascible. El Señor se venga de sus adversarios y guarda rencor a sus enemigos.
3 Yahweh is slow to anger but great in power, Yahweh never lets evil go unpunished. In storm andwhirlwind he takes his way, the clouds are the dust stirred up by his feet.	3 El señor es lento para enojarse, pero es grande en poder y no deja a nadie impune. [Bet] El camina en la tempestad y el huracán, la nube es el polvo de sus pies.
4 He rebukes the sea, dries it up, and makes all the rivers run dry. . . . Bashan and Carmel wither, thegreenery of the Lebanon withers too.	4 [Guímel] El increpa al mar y lo seca, y agota todos los ríos; [Dálet]. el Basán y el Carmelo languidecen, se marchita el verdor del Líbano.
5 The mountains tremble before him, the hills reel; the earth col apses before him, the world and al wholive in it.	5 [He] Las montañas tiemblan ante él, se deshacen las colinas; [Vau] en su presencia se hunde la tierra, el mundo y todos sus habitantes.
6 His fury -- who can withstand it? Who can endure his burning wrath? His anger pours out like fire andthe rocks break apart before him.	6 [Zain] ¿Quién se mantendrá de pie ante su furor? ¿Quién resistirá el ardor de su ira? [Jet] Su furia se derrama como fuego, y las rocas se parten ante él.
7 Yahweh is better than a fortress in time of distress; he recognises those who trust in him	7 [Tet] El Señor es bueno con los que esperan en él, es un refugio en el día de la angustia; [Iod] reconoce a los que confían en él

9 What are your thoughts about Yahweh? He it is who makes a final end: his adversaries wil not rise upa second time;	9 ¿Que traman ustedes contra el Señor? El aniquila por completo, y la calamidad no se repetirá dos veces.
10 like a thicket of tangled brambles, like dry straw, they wil be burnt up completely. To Assyria	10 Como un manojo de espinas enmarañadas, como la paja seca, ellos serán completamente devorados.

13 for now I shal break his yoke which presses hard on you and snap your chains. To the king ofNineveh	13 Ahora quebraré el yugo que pesa sobre ti y romperé tus ataduras.
14 As for you, this is Yahweh's decree: You wil have no heirs to your name, from the temple of your godsI shal remove carved image and cast image, and I shal devastate your tomb, for you are accursed!	14 El Señor decreta contra ti: Ninguna descendencia perpetuará tu nombre; extirparé del templo de tus dioses las imágenes esculpidas y fundidas, y haré de tu sepulcro una ignominia.
