2 Yahweh is a jealous and vengeful God, Yahweh takes vengeance, he is rich in wrath; Yahweh takesvengeance on his foes, he stores up fury for his enemies.	2 Deus aemulator et ulciscens Dominus, ulciscens Dominus et habens furorem, ulciscens Dominus in hostes suos et servans iram inimicis suis.
3 Yahweh is slow to anger but great in power, Yahweh never lets evil go unpunished. In storm andwhirlwind he takes his way, the clouds are the dust stirred up by his feet.	3 Dominus patiens et magnus fortitudine, nullumque impunitum derelinquet Dominus. In tempestate et turbine via eius, et nubes pulvis pedum eius.
4 He rebukes the sea, dries it up, and makes all the rivers run dry. . . . Bashan and Carmel wither, thegreenery of the Lebanon withers too.	4 Increpans mare et exsiccans illud et omnia flumina ad desertum deducens. Elanguit Basan et Carmelus, et flos Libani elanguit.
5 The mountains tremble before him, the hills reel; the earth col apses before him, the world and al wholive in it.	5 Montes commoti sunt ab eo, et colles conturbati; et contremuit terra a facie eius et orbis et omnes habitantes in eo.
6 His fury -- who can withstand it? Who can endure his burning wrath? His anger pours out like fire andthe rocks break apart before him.	6 Ante faciem indignationis eius quis stabit, et quis resistet in aestu furoris eius? Indignatio eius effusa est ut ignis, et petrae dissolutae sunt ab eo.
7 Yahweh is better than a fortress in time of distress; he recognises those who trust in him	7 Bonus Dominus, refugium in die tribulationis et sciens sperantes in se
8 even when the flood rushes on; he wil make an end once and for al of those who defy him, and pursuehis foes into darkness.	8 et in diluvio transeunte; consummationem faciet adversariorum suorum, et inimicos eius persequentur tenebrae.
9 What are your thoughts about Yahweh? He it is who makes a final end: his adversaries wil not rise upa second time;	9 Quid cogitatis contra Dominum? Consummationem ipse faciet; non consurget duplex tribulatio.

12 Yahweh says this: Unopposed and many though they be, they wil be cut down and pass away.Though I have made you suffer, I shal make you suffer no more,	12 Haec dicit Dominus: “ Et si incolumes fuerint et numerosi, sic quoque attondentur et pertransibunt; afflixi te et non affligam te ultra.
13 for now I shal break his yoke which presses hard on you and snap your chains. To the king ofNineveh	13 Et nunc conteram virgam eius de dorso tuo et vincula tua disrumpam ”.
14 As for you, this is Yahweh's decree: You wil have no heirs to your name, from the temple of your godsI shal remove carved image and cast image, and I shal devastate your tomb, for you are accursed!	14 Et praecipiet super te Dominus: “ Non seminabitur ex nomine tuo amplius. De domo dei tui disperdam sculptile et conflatile; ponam sepulcrum tuum, quia inhonoratus es ”.
