5 The mountains tremble before him, the hills reel; the earth col apses before him, the world and al wholive in it.	5 Per lui sono scosse le montagne, e le colline son desolate; dinanzi a lui trema la terra, e il mondo tutto, e tutti quei, che lo abitano.
6 His fury -- who can withstand it? Who can endure his burning wrath? His anger pours out like fire andthe rocks break apart before him.	6 Chi sussister potrà all'apparir del suo sdegno? E chi potrà a lui resistere irato, e in furore? L'indegnazione di lui divampa qual fuoco, e da esso i massi sono squagliati.
7 Yahweh is better than a fortress in time of distress; he recognises those who trust in him	7 Buono il Signore, e consola nel giorno di tribolazione; e conosce quelli,che sperano in lui:
8 even when the flood rushes on; he wil make an end once and for al of those who defy him, and pursuehis foes into darkness.	8 Égli con impetuosa inondazione distruggerà la sede di lei, e i nemici di lui dalle tenebre saran perseguitati.
9 What are your thoughts about Yahweh? He it is who makes a final end: his adversaries wil not rise upa second time;	9 Che andate voi macchinando contro il Signore? Egli farà fine: non verrà doppia tribolazione.
10 like a thicket of tangled brambles, like dry straw, they wil be burnt up completely. To Assyria	10 Perocché costoro, che ne' conviti sbevazzano insieme, saran consunti come le spine, che tra loro s'intrecciano, e come aridissima paglia.
11 From you has emerged someone plotting evil against Yahweh, one of Belial's counsel ors. To Judah	11 Da te uscirà colui, che mal pensa contro il Signore, che ha in testa iniqui disegni.
12 Yahweh says this: Unopposed and many though they be, they wil be cut down and pass away.Though I have made you suffer, I shal make you suffer no more,	12 Queste cose dice il Signore: Quantunque ei siano fortissimi, e anche in maggior numero, contuttociò saranno recisi, e passeranno. Io ti ho afflitto, ma non ti affliggerò di più.
13 for now I shal break his yoke which presses hard on you and snap your chains. To the king ofNineveh	13 E la verga di lui romperò infesta al tuo dorso, e spezzerò le tue catene.
14 As for you, this is Yahweh's decree: You wil have no heirs to your name, from the temple of your godsI shal remove carved image and cast image, and I shal devastate your tomb, for you are accursed!	14 Il Signore pronunzierà contro di te questa sentenza: non rimarrà più seme del tuo nome: sterminerò le statue, e gl'idoli di getto dalla casa del Dio tuo, e farolla tuo sepolcro, e tu sarai disprezzato.
	15 Ècco sui monti i piedi di colui, che annunzia la buona novella: annunzia la pace: celebra, o Giuda, le tue solennità, e sciogli i tuoi voti; perocché non passerà mai più Belial per le tue terre: egli è perito interamente.
