Hosea 8

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Put the trumpet to your lips! Like an eagle, disaster is swooping on Yahweh's home! Because they haveviolated my covenant and been unfaithful to my Law,	1 Nella tua gola ci sia una tromba, come aquila sopra la casa del Signore; perchè essi han trasgredita la mia alleanza, ed han prevaricato contro la mia legge.
2 in vain wil they cry, 'My God!' In vain, 'We, Israel, know you!'	2 Mi sgrideranno: « Mio Dio, ti abbiadmo riconosciuto, noi, Israele ».
3 Israel has rejected the good, the enemy will pursue them.	3 Israele ha gettato via il bene, e lo perseguiterà il nemico.
4 They have set up kings, but without my consent, and appointed princes, but without my knowledge.With their silver and gold, they have made themselves idols, but only to be destroyed.	4 Essi regnarono, ma non per me; furono principi, ma non li riconobbi; col loro argento e col loro oro si cfecero degli idoli, por la loro ropvina.
5 I spurn your calf, Samaria! My anger blazes against them! How long wil it be before they recover theirinnocence?	5 Il tuo vitello è statò gettato per terra, o Samaria, contro di essi si è acceso il mio furore. E fino a quando non potranno purificarsi?
6 For it is the product of Israel- a craftsman made the thing, it is no god at al ! The calf of Samaria wil bebroken to pieces!	6 Anche lui infatti viene da Israele, un artefice l'ha fatto, e non è Dio: infatti sarà come tela di ragno il vitello di Samaria.
7 Since they sow the wind, they will reap the whirlwind; stalk without ear, it wil never yield flour- or if itdoes, foreigners will swallow it.	7 Semineranno vento, e raccoglieranno tempesta. Non vi sarà spiga che stia ritta, e i granelli non daran farina, e se la dessero, la mangerebbero gli stranieri.
8 Israel has himself been swal owed; now they are lost among the nations like something no one wants,	8 Israele è stato divorato, ed ora è divenuto fra le nazioni come un vaso immondo.
9 for having made approaches to Assyria- like a wild donkey, al alone. Ephraim has rented lovers	9 Essi sono andati verso gli Assiri: l'asino selvatico vive solitario per sè, Efraim ha dato doni agli amanti.
10 and because he has rented them from the nations I am now going to round them up; soon they wilfeel the weight of the king of princes!	10 Ma quando pagando avran comprati gli aiuti (delle nazioni), allora io li radunerò, e riposeranno un poi dalle gravezze poste dal re e dai principi.
11 Ephraim keeps building altars for his sins, these very altars are themselves a sin.	11 Efraim moltiplicò i suoi altari per peccare, e gli altari gli divennero occasioni di delitto.
12 However much of my Law I write for him, Ephraim regards it as alien to him.	12 Ho scritte per lui le mie moltissime leggi che egli ha considerate come straniere.
13 They offer sacrifices to me and eat the meat, they do not win Yahweh's favour. On the contrary, he wilremember their guilt and punish their sins; they wil have to go back to Egypt.	13 Offriranno dei sacrifizi, immoleranno delle carni e le mangeranno; ma il Signore non le accetterà. Ed ora, ricordandosi della loro iniquità, ne castigherà i peccati, ed essi ritorneranno in Egitto.
14 Israel has forgotten his Maker and has built palaces, while Judah keeps on building fortified towns; butI shal send fire down on his cities to devour their citadels.	14 Israele s'è dimenticato del suo creatore ed ha costruito dei templi, mentre Giuda ha moltiplicate le città forti; ma io metterò il fuoco nelle sue citià, e saran divorati i suoi palazzi.
