Hosea 8

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Put the trumpet to your lips! Like an eagle, disaster is swooping on Yahweh's home! Because they haveviolated my covenant and been unfaithful to my Law,	1 Fújd a harsonát! Sasként jön az Úr házára a baj, mert megtörték szövetségemet és megszegték törvényemet.
2 in vain wil they cry, 'My God!' In vain, 'We, Israel, know you!'	2 Majd segítségül hívnak engem: ‘Én Istenem!’, mi ismerünk téged, mi, Izrael!
3 Israel has rejected the good, the enemy will pursue them.	3 Megvetette Izrael a jót, ellenség üldözi majd őt!
4 They have set up kings, but without my consent, and appointed princes, but without my knowledge.With their silver and gold, they have made themselves idols, but only to be destroyed.	4 Királyokat választottak ők nélkülem; fejedelmeket választottak tudtomon kívül; ezüstjükből és aranyukból bálványokat csináltak, hogy elvesszenek.
5 I spurn your calf, Samaria! My anger blazes against them! How long wil it be before they recover theirinnocence?	5 Odalesz a borjúd, Szamaria! Haragom felgerjed ellenük; még meddig nem tudnak megtisztulni?
6 For it is the product of Israel- a craftsman made the thing, it is no god at al ! The calf of Samaria wil bebroken to pieces!	6 Hiszen az is Izraelből való, mesterember készítette, nem isten az, és bizony szilánkokká lesz Szamaria borja!
7 Since they sow the wind, they will reap the whirlwind; stalk without ear, it wil never yield flour- or if itdoes, foreigners will swallow it.	7 Szelet vetnek ők, de majd vihart aratnak, s a búzaszál nem hány kalászt, a kalász nem ad lisztet, és ha ad is, idegenek eszik meg azt.
8 Israel has himself been swal owed; now they are lost among the nations like something no one wants,	8 Felemésztődik majd Izrael; máris olyan a nemzetek között, mint a tisztátalan edény.
9 for having made approaches to Assyria- like a wild donkey, al alone. Ephraim has rented lovers	9 Mert Asszúrhoz mentek fel ők, mint kóborló vadszamár; Efraim ajándékokat adott szeretőinek.

On the contrary, he wilremember their guilt and punish their sins; they wil have to go back to Egypt.	13 Szeretik a véresáldozatokat, húst áldoznak és esznek, de az Úr nem veszi ezt kegyesen; megemlékezik most gonoszságaikról, és megtorolja rajtuk bűneiket. Visszatérnek ők majd Egyiptomba!
14 Israel has forgotten his Maker and has built palaces, while Judah keeps on building fortified towns; butI shal send fire down on his cities to devour their citadels.	14 Mivel Izrael megfeledkezett teremtőjéről és szentélyeket épített, és Júda sok erős várost emelt: tüzet bocsátok én városaira, s az megemészti házait.
