Ezekiel 6

1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר
2 'Son of man, turn towards the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.	2 בן אדם שים פניך אל הרי ישראל והנבא אליהם
3 Say, "Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this to mountainsand hil s and ravines and val eys: Look, I am going to summon the sword against you and destroy your highplaces.	3 ואמרת הרי ישראל שמעו דבר אדני יהוה כה אמר אדני יהוה להרים ולגבעות לאפיקים ולגאית הנני אני מביא עליכם חרב ואבדתי במותיכם
4 Your altars will be wrecked, and your incense burners smashed; I shal fling your butchered inhabitantsdown in front of your foul idols;	4 ונשמו מזבחותיכם ונשברו חמניכם והפלתי חלליכם לפני גלוליכם
5 I shall lay the corpses of the Israelites in front of their foul idols and scatter their bones all round youraltars.	5 ונתתי את פגרי בני ישראל לפני גלוליהם וזריתי את עצמותיכם סביבות מזבחותיכם
6 Wherever you live, the towns will be destroyed and the high places wrecked, to the ruin and wrecking ofyour altars, the shattering and abolition of your foul idols, the smashing of your incense burners and the utterdestruction of al your works.	6 בכל מושבותיכם הערים תחרבנה והבמות תישמנה למען יחרבו ויאשמו מזבחותיכם ונשברו ונשבתו גלוליכם ונגדעו חמניכם ונמחו מעשיכם
7 As the butchered fall about you, you wil know that I am Yahweh.	7 ונפל חלל בתוככם וידעתם כי אני יהוה
8 "But I shal spare some of you to escape the sword among the nations, when you have been dispersedin their lands;	8 והותרתי בהיות לכם פליטי חרב בגוים בהזרותיכם בארצות
9 and your survivors wil remember me among the nations where they are held captive, since I shal havebroken their adulterous hearts for having deserted me, and destroyed their eyes for having turned adulterouslytowards their foul idols. They wil loathe themselves for al the wrong they have caused by their loathsomepractices.	9 וזכרו פליטיכם אותי בגוים אשר נשבו שם אשר נשברתי את לבם הזונה אשר סר מעלי ואת עיניהם הזנות אחרי גלוליהם ונקטו בפניהם אל הרעות אשר עשו לכל תועבתיהם
10 Then they wil know that I am Yahweh and that I was not talking lightly when I said that I would inflictthese disasters on them."	10 וידעו כי אני יהוה לא אל חנם דברתי לעשות להם הרעה הזאת
11 'The Lord Yahweh says this, "Clap your hands, stamp your feet, and say: Alas for al the loathsomesins of the House of Israel, which is about to fal by sword, famine and plague!	11 כה אמר אדני יהוה הכה בכפך ורקע ברגלך ואמר אח אל כל תועבות רעות בית ישראל אשר בחרב ברעב ובדבר יפלו
12 Far off, they wil die by plague; near at hand they will fal by the sword; and any who survive or arespared wil die of famine. This is how I shal sate my fury on them.	12 הרחוק בדבר ימות והקרוב בחרב יפול והנשאר והנצור ברעב ימות וכליתי חמתי בם
13 Then you will know that I am Yahweh, when their butchered corpses lie among their foul idols, allround their altars, on every high hil , on every mountain top, under every green tree, under every leafy oak,wherever they offer a smel pleasing to al their idols.	13 וידעתם כי אני יהוה בהיות חלליהם בתוך גלוליהם סביבות מזבחותיהם אל כל גבעה רמה בכל ראשי ההרים ותחת כל עץ רענן ותחת כל אלה עבתה מקום אשר נתנו שם ריח ניחח לכל גלוליהם
14 I shal point my finger at them and reduce the country to an empty wasteland from the desert to Riblah,everywhere they live, and they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	14 ונטיתי את ידי עליהם ונתתי את הארץ שממה ומשמה ממדבר דבלתה בכל מושבותיהם וידעו כי אני יהוה
