Ezekiel 6

1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 Il Signore parlommi, dicendo:
2 'Son of man, turn towards the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.	2 Figliuolo dell'uomo, volgi la tua faccia ai monti d'Israele, e ad essi profeterai,
3 Say, "Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this to mountainsand hil s and ravines and val eys: Look, I am going to summon the sword against you and destroy your highplaces.	3 E dirai: Monti d'Israele, udite la parola del Signore Iddio. Queste cose dice il Signore Dio ai monti, e ai colli,alle rupi, e alle valli: Ecco, che io farò piombare sopra di voi la spada, e di spergerò gli eccelsi luoghi vostri,
4 Your altars will be wrecked, and your incense burners smashed; I shal fling your butchered inhabitantsdown in front of your foul idols;	4 E getterò a terra i vostri altari, e i vostri simulacri saran fatti in pezzi; e getterò i vostri cittadini uccisi dinanzi a' vostri idoli.
5 I shall lay the corpses of the Israelites in front of their foul idols and scatter their bones all round youraltars.	5 E i cadaveri de' figliuoli d'Israele porrò dinanzi alla faccia de' vostri simulacri, e le ossa vostre spargerò intorno a' vostri altari,
6 Wherever you live, the towns will be destroyed and the high places wrecked, to the ruin and wrecking ofyour altars, the shattering and abolition of your foul idols, the smashing of your incense burners and the utterdestruction of al your works.	6 Per tutto dove voi abitate, le città saranno deserte, e i luoghi eccelsi saran demoliti, e dissipati, i vostri altari andrann' in rovina, e saranno distrutti, e i vostri idoli finiranno, e i vostri templi saranno atterrati, e le opere vostre saran dissipate.
7 As the butchered fall about you, you wil know that I am Yahweh.	7 E sarà grand' uccisione in mezzo a voi, e conoscerete, che io sono il Signore.
8 "But I shal spare some of you to escape the sword among the nations, when you have been dispersedin their lands;	8 E alcuni di voi, che fuggiranno la spada, lascerò tralle genti, quand' io vi avrò spersi in questo, e in quel paese.
9 and your survivors wil remember me among the nations where they are held captive, since I shal havebroken their adulterous hearts for having deserted me, and destroyed their eyes for having turned adulterouslytowards their foul idols. They wil loathe themselves for al the wrong they have caused by their loathsomepractices.	9 E que', che di voi saran liberati, si ricorderanno di me tralle nazioni, dove saranno condotti schiavi, perchè io spezzerò il cuor loro adultero, e alieno da me; e (umilierò) i loro occhi invescati nell'amore de' loro idoli; ed eglino di spiaceranno a loro stessi per ragion de' mali, che han commessi con tutte le loro abbominazioni.
10 Then they wil know that I am Yahweh and that I was not talking lightly when I said that I would inflictthese disasters on them."	10 E conosceranno, che io il Signore non indarno ho parlato, di far di essi tale scempio.
11 'The Lord Yahweh says this, "Clap your hands, stamp your feet, and say: Alas for al the loathsomesins of the House of Israel, which is about to fal by sword, famine and plague!	11 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Percuoti mano con mano, e batti il piede, e dì: Guai a tutte le abbominazioni inique della casa d'Israele: perocché stan per perire di fame, di spada, e di peste.
12 Far off, they wil die by plague; near at hand they will fal by the sword; and any who survive or arespared wil die of famine. This is how I shal sate my fury on them.	12 Chi è lontano, morrà di peste, e chi è vicino, cadrà sotto la spada; chi ne scamperà, e sarà assediato, morrà di fame; ed io sfogherò sopra di essi il mio sdegno.
13 Then you will know that I am Yahweh, when their butchered corpses lie among their foul idols, allround their altars, on every high hil , on every mountain top, under every green tree, under every leafy oak,wherever they offer a smel pleasing to al their idols.	13 E conoscerete, che io sono il Signore, quando i vostri saranno uccisi in mezzo agl' idoli vostri, intorno a' vostri altari, sopra ogni alto colle, e su tutte le vette de' monti, e sotto ogni albero ombroso, e sotto ogni quercia frondosa, dovunque arsero incensi odorosi a tutti loro idoli.
14 I shal point my finger at them and reduce the country to an empty wasteland from the desert to Riblah,everywhere they live, and they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	14 E io stenderò sopra di loro la mia mano, e la loro terra renderò desolata, abbandonata più del deserto di Deblatha in tutti i luoghi, dove abitavano: e conosceranno, ch'io son' il Signore.
