1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 Une parole de Yahvé me fut adressée:
2 'Son of man, turn towards the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.	2 “Fils d’homme, tourne ton regard vers les montagnes d’Israël et prophétise contre elles.
3 Say, "Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this to mountainsand hil s and ravines and val eys: Look, I am going to summon the sword against you and destroy your highplaces.	3 Tu diras: Montagnes d’Israël, écoutez la parole de Yahvé. Voici ce que dit Yahvé aux montagnes et aux collines, aux ravins et aux vallées: “Je fais venir contre vous l’épée, je vais détruire vos Hauts-Lieux.
4 Your altars will be wrecked, and your incense burners smashed; I shal fling your butchered inhabitantsdown in front of your foul idols;	4 Vos autels seront abattus, vos autels à parfum seront brisés. Je ferai que vos habitants soient massacrés devant vos idoles.
5 I shall lay the corpses of the Israelites in front of their foul idols and scatter their bones all round youraltars.	5 ( ) Je disperserai vos ossements autour de vos autels.
6 Wherever you live, the towns will be destroyed and the high places wrecked, to the ruin and wrecking ofyour altars, the shattering and abolition of your foul idols, the smashing of your incense burners and the utterdestruction of al your works.	6 Partout où vous habitez, les villes seront dévastées et les Hauts-Lieux abattus; vos autels seront abandonnés, vos idoles brisées, vos autels à parfum renversés.
7 As the butchered fall about you, you wil know that I am Yahweh.	7 Vos habitants seront massacrés au milieu de vous et vous saurez que je suis Yahvé.
8 "But I shal spare some of you to escape the sword among the nations, when you have been dispersedin their lands;	8 Quelques uns, cependant échapperont à l’épée, je vous laisserai un reste parmi les nations lorsque je vous aurai dispersés au milieu d’elles.
9 and your survivors wil remember me among the nations where they are held captive, since I shal havebroken their adulterous hearts for having deserted me, and destroyed their eyes for having turned adulterouslytowards their foul idols. They wil loathe themselves for al the wrong they have caused by their loathsomepractices.	9 Les survivants se souviendront de moi au milieu des nations où je veux qu’ils soient prisonniers; je briserai leur cœur adultère qui s’est détourné de moi, et leurs yeux adultères qui regardaient vers les idoles, ils auront honte d’eux-mêmes pour tout le mal qu’ils ont fait et les horreurs qu’ils ont commises.
10 Then they wil know that I am Yahweh and that I was not talking lightly when I said that I would inflictthese disasters on them."	10 Alors ils sauront que je suis Yahvé ( ).
11 'The Lord Yahweh says this, "Clap your hands, stamp your feet, and say: Alas for al the loathsomesins of the House of Israel, which is about to fal by sword, famine and plague!	11 Voici ce que dit Yahvé: Frappe dans ta main, tape du pied et dis: Bien fait! Quand tu verras la maison d’Israël tomber sous l’épée, la famine et la peste, tu te rappelleras toutes ses sales ordures.
12 Far off, they wil die by plague; near at hand they will fal by the sword; and any who survive or arespared wil die of famine. This is how I shal sate my fury on them.	12 Celui qui sera au loin mourra par la peste, celui qui sera près tombera sous l’épée, le survivant mourra de faim: ma colère se déchargera jusqu’au bout.
13 Then you will know that I am Yahweh, when their butchered corpses lie among their foul idols, allround their altars, on every high hil , on every mountain top, under every green tree, under every leafy oak,wherever they offer a smel pleasing to al their idols.	13 Vous saurez que je suis Yahvé quand les morts seront couchés au milieu de leurs idoles, près de leurs autels, sur toutes les collines élevées, sous tout arbre vert et sous tout chêne feuillu, partout où ils ont offert à leurs ordures la bonne odeur de l’encens.
14 I shal point my finger at them and reduce the country to an empty wasteland from the desert to Riblah,everywhere they live, and they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	14 Je les frapperai d’un grand coup, je ferai de leur pays une solitude, une ruine partout où ils habitent, depuis le désert jusqu’à Ribla. Alors ils sauront que je suis Yahvé.
