1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 Az Úr ezt a szózatot intézte hozzám:
2 'Son of man, turn towards the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.	2 »Emberfia, fordítsd tekintetedet Izrael hegyei felé, prófétálj ellenük
3 Say, "Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this to mountainsand hil s and ravines and val eys: Look, I am going to summon the sword against you and destroy your highplaces.	3 és mondjad: Izrael hegyei, halljátok meg az Úr Isten igéjét! Így szól az Úr Isten a hegyekhez és a halmokhoz, a szakadékokhoz és a völgyekhez: Íme, én kardot bocsátok rátok és megsemmisítem magaslataitokat,
4 Your altars will be wrecked, and your incense burners smashed; I shal fling your butchered inhabitantsdown in front of your foul idols;	4 lerontom oltáraitokat, bálványaitok romokká lesznek, és megöltjeiteket bálványaitok elé vetem.
5 I shall lay the corpses of the Israelites in front of their foul idols and scatter their bones all round youraltars.	5 Izrael fiainak holttestét pedig bálványaitok színe elé vetem és csontjaitokat szétszórom oltáraitok körül.
6 Wherever you live, the towns will be destroyed and the high places wrecked, to the ruin and wrecking ofyour altars, the shattering and abolition of your foul idols, the smashing of your incense burners and the utterdestruction of al your works.	6 Valamennyi lakott helyeteken elpusztítják a városokat, a magaslatokat pedig lerombolják és széthányják; oltáraitokat lerontják és összetörik; bálványaitokat megsemmisítik, szentélyeiteket szétrombolják, műveiteket elpusztítják,
7 As the butchered fall about you, you wil know that I am Yahweh.	7 s akit megöltek, a földre hull közöttetek. Akkor majd megtudjátok, hogy én vagyok az Úr!
8 "But I shal spare some of you to escape the sword among the nations, when you have been dispersedin their lands;	8 De meghagyok majd közületek olyanokat, akik megmenekülnek a kard elől a nemzetek között, amikor szétszórlak titeket a földön;
9 and your survivors wil remember me among the nations where they are held captive, since I shal havebroken their adulterous hearts for having deserted me, and destroyed their eyes for having turned adulterouslytowards their foul idols. They wil loathe themselves for al the wrong they have caused by their loathsomepractices.	9 és akik megszabadulnak közületek, megemlékeznek majd rólam ama nemzetek között, amelyek közé mint foglyokat elhurcolják őket, mert megtöröm parázna és tőlem elpártolt szívüket és bálványaikkal paráználkodó szemüket; önmaguknak fognak visszatetszeni a gonoszságok miatt, amelyeket teljes utálatosságukban elkövettek.
10 Then they wil know that I am Yahweh and that I was not talking lightly when I said that I would inflictthese disasters on them."	10 Akkor megtudják majd, hogy én, az Úr, nem hiába beszéltem, hanem rájuk hozom ezt a veszedelmet!
11 'The Lord Yahweh says this, "Clap your hands, stamp your feet, and say: Alas for al the loathsomesins of the House of Israel, which is about to fal by sword, famine and plague!	11 Így szól az Úr Isten: Üsd össze kezedet, dobbants lábaddal, és mondd: Jaj Izrael házának minden gonosz utálatossága miatt, mert karddal, éhséggel és döghalállal fognak elhullani!
12 Far off, they wil die by plague; near at hand they will fal by the sword; and any who survive or arespared wil die of famine. This is how I shal sate my fury on them.	12 Aki távol van, döghalállal hal meg; aki közel van, kard által esik el; aki pedig megmarad és ostrom alá veszik, éhségtől hal meg; és kitöltöm rajtuk haragomat.
13 Then you will know that I am Yahweh, when their butchered corpses lie among their foul idols, allround their altars, on every high hil , on every mountain top, under every green tree, under every leafy oak,wherever they offer a smel pleasing to al their idols.	13 Akkor megtudjátok majd, hogy én vagyok az Úr: amikor ott hevernek majd megöltjeitek bálványaitok között oltáraitok körül minden magas dombon és minden hegy tetején, minden árnyékos fa alatt és minden lombos tölgy alatt, azon a helyen, ahol illatos tömjént gyújtottak valamennyi bálványuknak.
14 I shal point my finger at them and reduce the country to an empty wasteland from the desert to Riblah,everywhere they live, and they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	14 Kiterjesztem föléjük kezemet, és pusztasággá s elhagyottá teszem a földet a sivatagtól Rebláig minden lakóhelyükön; hadd tudják meg, hogy én vagyok az Úr!«
