1 ' "This is the list of the tribes. One portion in the far north by way of Hethlon to the Pass of Hamath, toHazer-Enon, with the territory of Damascus to the north, and marching with Hamath, from the eastern limit to thewestern limit: Dan.	1 Questi i nomi delle tribù: dal confine settentrionale, nei pressi di Chetlòn, all'imboccatura di Camat, fino a Cazer-Enòn, al confine di Damasco a settentrione, nei pressi di Camat, coi suoi lati, orientale e occidentale: un lotto a Dan.
2 One portion bordering Dan, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Asher.	2 Al confine di Dan dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno ad Aser.
3 One portion bordering Asher, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Naphtali.	3 Al confine di Aser, dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno a Neftali.
4 One portion bordering Naphtali, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Manasseh.	4 Al confine di Neftali dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno a Manasse.
5 One portion bordering Manasseh, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Ephraim.	5 Al confine di Manasse dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno a Efraim.
6 One portion bordering Ephraim, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Reuben.	6 Al confine di Efraim dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno a Ruben.
7 One portion bordering Reuben, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Judah.	7 Al confine di Ruben dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno a Giuda.
8 One portion bordering Judah, from the eastern limit to the western limit, is the portion which you mustset aside, twenty-five thousand cubits wide, and as long as each of the other portions from the eastern limit tothe western limit. The sanctuary wil be in the centre of it.	8 Al confine di Giuda dal lato orientale al lato occidentale c'è il tributo di territorio che offrirete: largo venticinquemila cubiti e lungo quanto ognuno dei lotti dal lato orientale al lato occidentale. In mezzo c'è il santuario.
9 "The portion which you must set aside for Yahweh must be twenty-five thousand cubits long and tenthousand cubits wide.	9 Il tributo che offrirete al Signore è lungo venticinquemila cubiti, con ventimila di lato.
10 This sacred portion must belong to the priests, being, on the north side, twenty-five thousand cubits;on the west side ten thousand cubits wide, on the east side ten thousand cubits wide and on the south sidetwenty-five thousand cubits long; the sanctuary of Yahweh wil be in the centre of it.	10 Il tributo santo sarà per costoro: per i sacerdoti a settentrione venticinquemila, a occidente diecimila di lato e a oriente diecimila di lato e a mezzogiorno venticinquemila di lunghezza con incluso il santuario del Signore.
11 This wil be for the consecrated priests, those of the sons of Zadok who maintained my liturgy and didnot go astray with the straying Israelites, as the Levites went astray.	11 Ai sacerdoti santificati, figli di Zadòk, i quali mi hanno prestato il servizio e non hanno errato quando errarono gli Israeliti, come fecero invece i leviti,
12 And so their portion must be taken out of the especial y holy portion of the land, near the territory ofthe Levites.	12 ad essi sarà riservata una porzione del tributo sacro del territorio, parte santissima al confine dei leviti.
13 The territory of the Levites, like the territory of the priests, must be twenty-five thousand cubits longand ten thousand wide -- the whole length being twenty-five thousand and the width ten thousand.	13 I leviti, parallelamente al confine dei sacerdoti, avranno gli altri venticinquemila di lunghezza e diecimila di lato. Entrambi ne avranno venticinquemila di lunghezza e diecimila di lato.
14 It wil be il egal for them to sell or exchange any part of it, and the domain can never be alienated,since it is consecrated to Yahweh.	14 Non possono venderne niente né scambiare né offrire la primizia del territorio, perché è cosa santa per il Signore.
15 As regards the remainder, an area of five thousand cubits by twenty-five thousand, this must be forthe common use of the city, for houses and pastures. In the middle wil be the city.	15 I rimanenti cinquemila di altezza per venticinquemila di lunghezza sono profani. Sono della città, come abitazioni e periferia. La città stessa, poi, sarà nel mezzo;
16 These wil be its dimensions: on the north side, four thousand five hundred cubits; on the south side,four thousand five hundred cubits; on the east side, four thousand five hundred cubits; on the west side, fourthousand five hundred cubits.	16 eccone le misure: lato settentrionale, quattromilacinquecento; lato meridionale, quattromilacinquecento; lato orientale, quattromilacinquecento e lato occidentale, quattromilacinquecento.
17 The pasture land of the city must extend two hundred and fifty cubits to the north, two hundred andfifty to the south, two hundred and fifty to the east, two hundred and fifty to the west.	17 Le periferie della città saranno: a nord duecentocinquanta; a sud duecentocinquanta; a oriente duecentocinquanta e a occidente duecentocinquanta.
18 One strip, contiguous to the sacred portion, must be left over, consisting of ten thousand cubits toeastward and ten thousand to westward, marching with the sacred portion; this wil bring in a revenue for feedingthe municipal workmen.	18 Quel che rimane parallelamente al tributo santo, e cioè diecimila a oriente e diecimila a occidente ed è parallelo al tributo santo, sarà il prodotto per il pane per quelli che fanno servizio in città.
19 And the municipal workmen, drawn from al the tribes of Israel, wil farm it.	19 Quelli che prestano servizio in città saranno presi da tutte le tribù d'Israele.
20 The portion must have a total area of twenty-five thousand cubits by twenty-five thousand. You mustal ocate a square area from the sacred portion to constitute the city.	20 Tutto il tributo sacro sarà un quadrilatero di venticinquemila cubiti per venticinquemila. Preleverete un quarto del tributo sacro come possesso della città.
21 What is left over wil be for the prince, on either side of the sacred portion and of the property of thecity, marching with the twenty-five thousand cubits to eastward to the eastern frontier, and marching with thetwenty-five thousand cubits to westward to the western frontier -- running paral el with the other portions andbelonging to the prince. In the centre wil be the sacred portion and the sanctuary of the Temple.	21 Quel che rimane di qua e di là del tributo sacro e del possesso della città è per il principe in possesso ereditario. Partendo dai venticinquemila del tributo fino al confine orientale e, verso occidente, partendo dai venticinquemila fino al mare, parallelamente ai lotti delle tribù, questo è del principe. Rimane in mezzo il tributo santo con santuario e tempio.
22 Thus, apart from the property of the Levites and the property of the city which lie in the middle of theprince's portion, everything between the borders of Judah and the borders of Ben- jamin must belong to theprince.	22 Partendo dai possedimenti ereditari dei leviti e i possedimenti della città, che restano in mezzo, quelli del principe rimarranno tra il confine di Giuda e quello di Beniamino.
23 "As regards the rest of the tribes: One portion from the eastern limit to the western limit: Benjamin.	23 Il resto delle tribù, dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: un lotto a Beniamino.
24 One portion bordering Benjamin, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Simeon.	24 Al confine di Beniamino dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno a Simeone.
25 One portion bordering Simeon, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Issachar.	25 Al confine di Simeone dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno a Issacar.
26 One portion bordering Issachar, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Zebulun.	26 Al confine di Issacar dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno a Zabulon.
27 One portion bordering Zebulun, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Gad.	27 Al confine di Zabulon dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: uno a Gad.
28 On the southern border of Gad, on the south side, the border will run from Tamar to the Waters ofMeribah in Kadesh, to the Wadi and the Great Sea.	28 Al confine di Gad dal lato sud verso mezzogiorno il confine andrà da Tamàr alle acque di Meriba-Kadès e al torrente che va al Mar Mediterraneo.
29 This is how you must distribute the country to the tribes of Israel as their heritage, and these must betheir portions -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	29 Questa è la terra che si darà in eredità alle tribù d'Israele: questi sono i loro lotti. Oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.
30 "Here are the exits from the city. On the north side, four thousand five hundred cubits are to bemeasured off.	30 Queste sono le uscite della città sul lato settentrionale, di quattromilacinquecento cubiti.
31 The gates of the city are to be named after the tribes of Israel. Three gates to the north: one the gateof Reuben; one the gate of Judah; one the gate of Levi.	31 Le porte della città hanno i nomi delle tribù d'Israele. Tre sono a nord: una è la porta di Ruben, una la porta di Giuda e una la porta di Levi.
32 On the east side, there will be four thousand five hundred cubits and three gates: one the gate ofJoseph; one the gate of Benjamin; one the gate of Dan.	32 Sul lato orientale, di quattromilacinquecento cubiti, le porte sono tre: una è la porta di Giuseppe, una la porta di Beniamino e una la porta di Dan.
33 On the south side, four thousand five hundred cubits are to be measured off, and there are to bethree gates: one the gate of Simeon; one the gate of Issachar; one the gate of Zebulun.	33 Sul lato meridionale, di quattromilacinquecento cubiti, le porte sono tre: una è la porta di Simeone, una la porta di Issacar e una la porta di Zabulon.
34 On the west side, there wil be four thousand five hundred cubits and three gates: one the gate ofGad; one the gate of Asher; one the gate of Naphtali.	34 Sul lato occidentale, di quattromilacinquecento cubiti, le porte sono tre: una è la porta di Gad, una è la porta di Aser e una è la porta di Neftali.
35 Total perimeter: eighteen thousand cubits. "The name of the city in future must be: Yahweh-is-there."'	35 Perimetro: diciottomila. Da ora il nome della città è "Là c'è il Signore".
