1 ' "This is the list of the tribes. One portion in the far north by way of Hethlon to the Pass of Hamath, toHazer-Enon, with the territory of Damascus to the north, and marching with Hamath, from the eastern limit to thewestern limit: Dan.	1 Voici les noms des tribus. A l'extrême nord, dans la direction de Hètlôn, vers l'Entrée de Hamat etHaçar-Enâ, le territoire de Damas étant au nord, le long de Hamat, depuis la limite orientale jusqu'à la limiteoccidentale: Dan, un lot.
2 One portion bordering Dan, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Asher.	2 Sur la frontière de Dan, depuis la limite orientale jusqu'à la limite occidentale: Asher, un lot.
3 One portion bordering Asher, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Naphtali.	3 Sur la frontière d'Asher, depuis la limite orientale jusqu'à la limite occidentale: Nephtali, un lot.

8 One portion bordering Judah, from the eastern limit to the western limit, is the portion which you mustset aside, twenty-five thousand cubits wide, and as long as each of the other portions from the eastern limit tothe western limit. The sanctuary wil be in the centre of it.	8 Sur la frontière de Juda, depuis la limite orientale jusqu'à la limite occidentale, il y aura la partque vous réserverez, large de 25.000 coudées et aussi longue que chacune des autres parts, depuis la limiteorientale jusqu'à la limite occidentale. 9 "The portion which you must set aside for Yahweh must be twenty-five thousand cubits long and tenthousand cubits wide.	9 La part que vous y prélèverez pour Yahvé sera longue de 25.000 coudées et large de 10.000.
10 This sacred portion must belong to the priests, being, on the north side, twenty-five thousand cubits;on the west side ten thousand cubits wide, on the east side ten thousand cubits wide and on the south sidetwenty-five thousand cubits long; the sanctuary of Yahweh wil be in the centre of it.	10 C'est à ceux-ci, aux prêtres, qu'appartiendra la part sacrée: au nord, 25.000 coudées et à l'ouestune largeur de 10.000 coudées, à l'est une largeur de 10.000 coudées et au sud une longueur de 25.000 coudées;le sanctuaire de Yahvé sera au milieu.
11 This wil be for the consecrated priests, those of the sons of Zadok who maintained my liturgy and didnot go astray with the straying Israelites, as the Levites went astray.	11 Cela sera pour les prêtres consacrés, pour ceux des fils de Sadoq qui ont assuré mon service, quine se sont pas égarés dans l'égarement des Israélites, comme se sont égarés les lévites.
12 And so their portion must be taken out of the especial y holy portion of the land, near the territory ofthe Levites.	12 Ainsi leur appartiendra une part prise sur la part très sainte du pays, près du territoire des lévites.
13 The territory of the Levites, like the territory of the priests, must be twenty-five thousand cubits longand ten thousand wide -- the whole length being twenty-five thousand and the width ten thousand.	13 Quant aux lévites, leur territoire, tout comme le territoire des prêtres, aura 25.000 coudées delong et 10.000 de large - longueur totale 25.000 et largeur 10.000.
14 It wil be il egal for them to sell or exchange any part of it, and the domain can never be alienated,since it is consecrated to Yahweh.	14 Ils n'en pourront rien vendre ni échanger et le fonds de la terre ne pourra être aliéné, car il estconsacré à Yahvé.
15 As regards the remainder, an area of five thousand cubits by twenty-five thousand, this must be forthe common use of the city, for houses and pastures. In the middle wil be the city.	15 Quant aux 5.000 coudées qui restent, en largeur, sur 25.000, on en fera un territoire banal pour laville, pour les habitations et les pâturages. Au milieu, il y aura la ville.
16 These wil be its dimensions: on the north side, four thousand five hundred cubits; on the south side,four thousand five hundred cubits; on the east side, four thousand five hundred cubits; on the west side, fourthousand five hundred cubits.	16 Voici ses dimensions: du côté du nord, 4.500 coudées; du côté du sud, 4.500 coudées; du côté del'est, 4.500 coudées; du côté de l'ouest, 4.500 coudées.
17 The pasture land of the city must extend two hundred and fifty cubits to the north, two hundred andfifty to the south, two hundred and fifty to the east, two hundred and fifty to the west.	17 Le pâturage de la ville aura vers le nord 250 coudées, vers le sud 250, vers l'est 250 et versl'ouest 250.
18 One strip, contiguous to the sacred portion, must be left over, consisting of ten thousand cubits toeastward and ten thousand to westward, marching with the sacred portion; this wil bring in a revenue for feedingthe municipal workmen.	18 Il restera, le long de la part consacrée, une longueur de 10.000 coudées vers l'orient et de 10.000vers l'occident, le long de la part consacrée: cela formera un revenu pour nourrir les travailleurs de la ville.
19 And the municipal workmen, drawn from al the tribes of Israel, wil farm it.	19 Et les travailleurs de la ville, pris dans toutes les tribus d'Israël, la cultiveront.
20 The portion must have a total area of twenty-five thousand cubits by twenty-five thousand. You mustal ocate a square area from the sacred portion to constitute the city.	20 Au total, la part aura 25.000 coudées sur 25.000. Vous prélèverez un carré sur la part sacrée pourconstituer la ville.
21 What is left over wil be for the prince, on either side of the sacred portion and of the property of thecity, marching with the twenty-five thousand cubits to eastward to the eastern frontier, and marching with thetwenty-five thousand cubits to westward to the western frontier -- running paral el with the other portions andbelonging to the prince. In the centre wil be the sacred portion and the sanctuary of the Temple.	21 Et ce qui restera sera pour le prince, de part et d'autre de la part sacrée et de la propriété de laville, le long des 25.000 coudées à l'est, jusqu'à la frontière orientale, et à l'ouest, le long des 25.000 coudées,jusqu'à la frontière occidentale - pour le prince, parallèlement aux autres parts. Et au milieu, il y aura la partsacrée et le sanctuaire du Temple.
22 Thus, apart from the property of the Levites and the property of the city which lie in the middle of theprince's portion, everything between the borders of Judah and the borders of Ben- jamin must belong to theprince.	22 Ainsi, depuis la propriété des lévites et la propriété de la ville, qui sont au milieu de ce quirevient au prince, entre le territoire de Juda et le territoire de Benjamin, ce sera au prince.

27 One portion bordering Zebulun, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Gad.	27 Sur la frontière de Zabulon, depuis la limite orientale jusqu'à la limite occidentale: Gad, un lot.
28 On the southern border of Gad, on the south side, the border will run from Tamar to the Waters ofMeribah in Kadesh, to the Wadi and the Great Sea.	28 Et sur la frontière de Gad, du côté méridional, au midi, la frontière ira de Tamar aux eaux deMeriba de Qadesh, le torrent, jusqu'à la Grande mer.
29 This is how you must distribute the country to the tribes of Israel as their heritage, and these must betheir portions -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	29 Tel est le pays que vous ferez échoir en héritage aux tribus d'Israël, telles seront leurs parts,oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
30 "Here are the exits from the city. On the north side, four thousand five hundred cubits are to bemeasured off.	30 Et voici les sorties de la ville: du côté du nord, on mesurera 4.500 coudées.
31 The gates of the city are to be named after the tribes of Israel. Three gates to the north: one the gateof Reuben; one the gate of Judah; one the gate of Levi.	31 Les portes de la ville recevront les noms des tribus d'Israël. Trois portes au nord: la porte deRuben, une; la porte de Juda, une; la porte de Lévi, une.
32 On the east side, there will be four thousand five hundred cubits and three gates: one the gate ofJoseph; one the gate of Benjamin; one the gate of Dan.	32 Du côté de l'orient, il y aura 4.500 coudées et trois portes: la porte de Joseph, une; la porte deBenjamin, une; la porte de Dan, une.
33 On the south side, four thousand five hundred cubits are to be measured off, and there are to bethree gates: one the gate of Simeon; one the gate of Issachar; one the gate of Zebulun.	33 Du côté du midi, on mesurera 4.500 coudées et il y aura trois portes: la porte de Siméon, une; laporte d'Issachar, une; la porte de Zabulon, une.
34 On the west side, there wil be four thousand five hundred cubits and three gates: one the gate ofGad; one the gate of Asher; one the gate of Naphtali.	34 Du côté de l'occident, il y aura 4.500 coudées et trois portes: la porte de Gad, une; la ported'Asher, une; la porte de Nephtali, une.
35 Total perimeter: eighteen thousand cubits. "The name of the city in future must be: Yahweh-is-there."'	35 Périmètre total: 18.000 coudées. Et le nom de la ville sera désormais: "Yahvé est là."
