Ezekiel 24

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 In the ninth year, on the tenth day of the tenth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,	1 No nono ano, no décimo dia do décimo mês, a palavra do Senhor foi-me dirigida nestes termos:
2 'Son of man, write down today's date, yes, today's, for this very day the king of Babylon began hisattack on Jerusalem.	2 filho do homem, anota por escrito a data de hoje, pois neste dia o rei de Babilônia ataca Jerusalém.
3 So pronounce a parable for this tribe of rebels. Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Put the pot on thefire; put it on; pour the water in!	3 Expõe contra essa raça rebelde esta parábola: eis o que diz o Senhor Javé:
4 Now put the cuts of meat al in together, al the best cuts, leg and shoulder. Fill it with the best bones.	4 Prepara a panela, põe-na no fogo, põe água dentro dela; coloca pedaços dentro, todos pedaços escolhidos, coxa e espádua, enche-a com os melhores ossos;
5 Take the best of the flock, then heap wood underneath; boil it thoroughly until even the bones arecooked.	5 toma as mais belas cabeças do rebanho; amontoa lenha debaixo da panela e faze-a ferver aos borbotões, até que fiquem cozidos os ossos que estão dentro dela.
6 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the bloody city, for that rusty cooking pot whose rust wil not come off! Empty it, bit by bit, not bothering to draw lots;	6 Eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: ai da cidade sanguinária! Panela enferrujada, de onde a ferrugem não pode ser tirada. Despeja-a, bocado por bocado, sem tirar à sorte.
7 for she is stil ful of bloodshed, she has put blood on the naked rock; she did not pour it on the groundso as to cover it with dust.	7 O sangue que derramou está ainda no meio dela; ela o derramou sobre a rocha nua, e não na terra, para cobri-lo de poeira.
8 To make anger rise, to exact vengeance, I have put her blood on the naked rock, so that it should notbe covered:	8 Foi para excitar o meu furor e para que a vingança seja cumprida, que espalhei seu sangue sobre a rocha nua, para que ele não ficasse escondido.
9 "So, the Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the bloody city! I too plan to build a great fire.	9 Por isso, eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: ai da cidade sanguinária! Também eu vou fazer grande fogueira;
10 Heap on the wood, light it, cook the meat, prepare the seasoning let the bones burn!	10 amontoa a lenha, atiça o fogo, cozinha bem a carne, prepara o tempero, que os ossos sejam torrados!
11 Put the empty pot on the coals to make it hot, until the bronze glows, the filth inside melts and therust is burnt away!	11 Em seguida, põe a panela vazia nas brasas, para que ela fique bem quente, e vermelho o seu metal; que seja fundida a sua imundície e tirada a sua ferrugem.
12 "But al that rust would not come off in the fire.	12 Baldados, porém, são os esforços. A massa da ferrugem não sai. {Lance-se} ao fogo essa ferrugem!
13 Your filth is infamous. Since I have tried to purge you and you would not let yourself be purged ofyour filth, so now you wil never be purged of your filth until I have sated my anger on you.	13 Devido à imundície de teu proceder, eu quis purificar-te; todavia, como não estás purificada, não recobrarás a tua pureza até que eu tenha fartado sobre ti o meu furor.
14 I, Yahweh, have spoken; this wil happen; I shal act and not relent; I shal show no pity, nocompassion. You will be judged as your conduct and actions deserve -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	14 Sou eu, o Senhor, que o digo: isso sucederá, eu farei isso sem hesitação, sem piedade, sem remorso. Serás julgada de acordo com teu comportamento e teus atos - oráculo do Senhor Javé.
15 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	15 A palavra do Senhor foi-me dirigida nestes termos:
16 'Son of man, at a blow I am about to deprive you of the delight of your eyes. But you are not tolament, not to weep, not to let your tears run down.	16 filho do homem, vou levar subitamente de ti aquela que faz a delícia de teus olhos. Tu, porém, não darás gemido algum de dor, não chorarás, não deixarás tuas lágrimas correrem.
17 Groan in silence, do not go into mourning for the dead, knot your turban round your head, put yoursandals on your feet, do not cover your beard, do not eat the usual food.'	17 Suspira em silêncio, não celebres o luto habitual dos mortos; conserva o teu turbante na cabeça, põe o calçado nos pés, não cubras a tua barba, não comas o pão das gentes.
18 I told this to the people in the morning, and my wife died in the evening, and the next morning I did asI had been ordered.	18 De manhã, eu me dirigi ao povo; à tarde, minha mulher morreu. No dia seguinte, fiz o que fora prescrito.
19 The people then said to me, 'Will you not explain what meaning these actions have for us?'	19 Disse-me o povo: Não irás explicar-nos o que significa esse teu modo de proceder?
20 I replied, 'The word of Yahweh has been addressed to me as fol ows,	20 Respondi: A palavra do Senhor foi-me dirigida nestes termos:
21 "Say to the House of Israel, the Lord Yahweh says this: I am about to profane my sanctuary, thepride of your strength, the delight of your eyes, the joy of your hearts. Your sons and daughters whom you haveleft behind wil fall by the sword.	21 Faze esse discurso aos israelitas: eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: vou profanar o meu santuário, o orgulho de vosso poderio, a alegria de vossos olhos, o objeto do vosso amor; vossos filhos e vossas filhas, que deixastes, vão cair sob a espada.
22 Then you wil do as I have done: you wil not cover your beards or eat the usual food;	22 Fareis então como acabo de fazer; não cobrireis a vossa barba, não comereis o pão das gentes;
23 you will keep your turbans on your heads and your sandals on your feet; you wil not lament or weepbut will waste away for your crimes, groaning among yourselves.	23 conservareis os vossos turbantes na cabeça, e trareis os pés calçados; não poreis luto e não chorareis. Entretanto, definhareis por causa das vossas iniqüidades e gemereis uns com os outros.
24 Thus Ezekiel is a sign for you. You wil do exactly what he has done. And when this happens, you willknow that I am Lord Yahweh!"	24 O que Ezequiel está fazendo será para vós um sinal. Quando isso acontecer, fareis exatamente do mesmo modo como ele fez, e sabereis que sou eu o Senhor Javé.
25 'And, son of man, the day that I deprive them of their strength, their crowning joy, the delight of theireyes, the joy of their hearts, their sons and daughters,	25 Quanto a ti, filho do homem, no dia em que eu tirar o que faz a sua fortaleza, sua gloriosa arrogância, a alegria dos seus olhos e o objeto do seu amor, seus filhos e suas filhas,
26 that day a survivor wil bring you the news.	26 naquele dia, digo, um fugitivo virá anunciar-te a nova,
27 That day your mouth wil be opened to speak to the survivor; you wil speak and no longer be dumb;you wil be a sign for them, and they wil know that I am Yahweh.'	27 naquele dia tua boca se abrirá para falar com aquele que escapou; teu mutismo cessará, falarás. Tua atitude será para eles um símbolo, e conhecerão que sou eu o Senhor Javé.
