Ezekiel 24

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 In the ninth year, on the tenth day of the tenth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,	1 El año noveno, el día diez del décimo mes, la palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:
2 'Son of man, write down today's date, yes, today's, for this very day the king of Babylon began hisattack on Jerusalem.	2 Hijo de hombre, escribe la fecha de hoy, de este mismo día, porque el rey de Babilonia se ha lanzado sobre Jerusalén precisamente en este día.
3 So pronounce a parable for this tribe of rebels. Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Put the pot on thefire; put it on; pour the water in!	3 Compón una parábola sobre esta casa de rebeldía. Les dirás: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Arrima la olla al fuego, arrímala, y echa agua en ella.
4 Now put the cuts of meat al in together, al the best cuts, leg and shoulder. Fill it with the best bones.	4 Amontana dentro trozos de carne, todos los trozos buenos, pierna y espalda. Llénala de los huesos mejores.
5 Take the best of the flock, then heap wood underneath; boil it thoroughly until even the bones arecooked.	5 Toma lo mejor del ganado menor. Apila en torno la leña debajo, hazla hervir a borbotones, de modo que hasta los huesos se cuezan.
6 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the bloody city, for that rusty cooking pot whose rust wil not come off! Empty it, bit by bit, not bothering to draw lots;	6 Porque así dice el Señor Yahveh: ¡Ay de la ciudad sanguinaria, olla toda roñosa, cuya herrumbre no se le va! ¡Vacíala trozo a trozo, sin echar suertes sobre ella!
7 for she is stil ful of bloodshed, she has put blood on the naked rock; she did not pour it on the groundso as to cover it with dust.	7 Porque su sangre está en medio de ella, la ha esparcido sobre la roca desnuda, no la ha derramado en la tierra recubriéndola de polvo.
8 To make anger rise, to exact vengeance, I have put her blood on the naked rock, so that it should notbe covered:	8 Para que el furor desborde, para tomar venganza, he puesto yo su sangre sobre roca desnuda, para que no fuera recubierta.
9 "So, the Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the bloody city! I too plan to build a great fire.	9 Pues bien, así dice el Señor Yahveh: ¡Ay de la ciudad sanguinaria! También yo voy a hacer un gran montón de leña.
10 Heap on the wood, light it, cook the meat, prepare the seasoning let the bones burn!	10 Apila bien la leña, enciende el fuego, cuece la carne a punto, prepara las especias, que los huesos se abrasen.
11 Put the empty pot on the coals to make it hot, until the bronze glows, the filth inside melts and therust is burnt away!	11 Y mantén la olla vacía sobre las brasas, para que se caliente, se ponga al rojo el bronce, se funda dentro de ella su suciedad, y su herrumbre se consuma.
12 "But al that rust would not come off in the fire.	12 Pero ni por el fuego se va la herrumbre de la que está roñosa.
13 Your filth is infamous. Since I have tried to purge you and you would not let yourself be purged ofyour filth, so now you wil never be purged of your filth until I have sated my anger on you.	13 De la impureza de tu inmoralidad he querido purificarte, pero tú no te has dejado purificar de tu impureza. No serás, pues, purificada hasta que yo no desahogue mi furor en ti.
14 I, Yahweh, have spoken; this wil happen; I shal act and not relent; I shal show no pity, nocompassion. You will be judged as your conduct and actions deserve -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	14 Yo, Yahveh, he hablado, y cumplo la palabra: no me retraeré, no tendré piedad ni me compadeceré. Según tu conducta y según tus obras te juzgarán, oráculo del Señor Yahveh.
15 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	15 La palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:
16 'Son of man, at a blow I am about to deprive you of the delight of your eyes. But you are not tolament, not to weep, not to let your tears run down.	16 «Hijo de hombre, mira, voy a quitarte de golpe el encanto de tus ojos. Pero tú no te lamentarás, no llorarás, no te saldrá una lágrima.
17 Groan in silence, do not go into mourning for the dead, knot your turban round your head, put yoursandals on your feet, do not cover your beard, do not eat the usual food.'	17 Suspira en silencio, no hagas duelo de muertos; ciñe el turbante a tu cabeza, ponte tus sandalias en los pies, no te cubras la barba, no comas pan ordinario».
18 I told this to the people in the morning, and my wife died in the evening, and the next morning I did asI had been ordered.	18 Yo hablé al pueblo por la mañana, y por la tarde murió mi mujer; y al día siguiente por la mañana hice como se me había ordenado.
19 The people then said to me, 'Will you not explain what meaning these actions have for us?'	19 El pueblo me dijo: «¿No nos explicarás qué significado tiene para nosotros lo que estás haciendo?»
20 I replied, 'The word of Yahweh has been addressed to me as fol ows,	20 Yo les dije: «La palabra de Yahveh me ha sido dirigida en estos términos:
21 "Say to the House of Israel, the Lord Yahweh says this: I am about to profane my sanctuary, thepride of your strength, the delight of your eyes, the joy of your hearts. Your sons and daughters whom you haveleft behind wil fall by the sword.	21 Di a la casa de Israel: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: He aquí que yo voy a profanar mi santurario, orgullo de vuestra fuerza, encanto de vuestros ojos, pasión de vuestras almas. Vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas que habéis abandonado, caerán a espada.
22 Then you wil do as I have done: you wil not cover your beards or eat the usual food;	22 Y vosotros haréis como yo he hecho: no os cubriréis la barba, no comeréis pan ordinario,
23 you will keep your turbans on your heads and your sandals on your feet; you wil not lament or weepbut will waste away for your crimes, groaning among yourselves.	23 seguiréis llevando vuestros adornos en la cabeza y vuestras sandalias en los pies, no os lamentaréis ni lloraréis. Os consumiréis a causa de vuestras culpas y gemiréis los unos con los otros.
24 Thus Ezekiel is a sign for you. You wil do exactly what he has done. And when this happens, you willknow that I am Lord Yahweh!"	24 Ezequiel será para vosotros un símbolo; haréis todo lo que él ha hecho. Y cuando esto suceda, sabréis que yo soy el Señor Yahveh».
25 'And, son of man, the day that I deprive them of their strength, their crowning joy, the delight of theireyes, the joy of their hearts, their sons and daughters,	25 Y tú, hijo de hombre, el día en que yo les quite su apoyo, su alegre ornato, el encanto de sus ojos, el anhelo de su alma, sus hijos y sus hijas,
26 that day a survivor wil bring you the news.	26 ese día llegará donde ti el fugitivo que traerá la noticia.
27 That day your mouth wil be opened to speak to the survivor; you wil speak and no longer be dumb;you wil be a sign for them, and they wil know that I am Yahweh.'	27 Aquel día se abrirá tu boca para hablar al fugitivo; hablarás y ya no seguirás mudo; serás un símbolo para ellos, y sabrán que yo soy Yahveh.
