NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 In the ninth year, on the tenth day of the tenth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,	1 - E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola nell'anno nono, il decimo mese, ai dieci del mese dicendo:
2 'Son of man, write down today's date, yes, today's, for this very day the king of Babylon began hisattack on Jerusalem.	2 «Figlio dell'uomo, notati il nome di questo giorno preciso nel quale il re di Babilonia ha mosso l'attacco contro Gerusalemme, che è precisamente oggi.
3 So pronounce a parable for this tribe of rebels. Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Put the pot on thefire; put it on; pour the water in!	3 Proponi per esempio alla casa pervicace una parabola, e dirai loro: - Così dice il Signore Dio: " Poni al fuoco una caldaia; posta che l'avrai, versaci dentro acqua,
4 Now put the cuts of meat al in together, al the best cuts, leg and shoulder. Fill it with the best bones.	4 gettavi dentro i suoi pezzi di carne, tutte le parti buone, la coscia, la spalla, i pezzi scelti e pieni di osso.
5 Take the best of the flock, then heap wood underneath; boil it thoroughly until even the bones arecooked.	5 Prendi dalla greggia il più grasso capo di bestiame e delle ossa fanne una catasta sotto. Ha già bollito a cottura e le ossa si sono stracotte dentro di essa"-».
6 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the bloody city, for that rusty cooking pot whose rust wil not come off! Empty it, bit by bit, not bothering to draw lots;	6 Ebbene il Signore Dio dice così: «Guai alla città del sangue, alla caldaia che mantiene la sua ruggine senza che gliela si possa cavar via! Vuotala pezzo per pezzo alla rinfusa e senza distinzione di sorta.
7 for she is stil ful of bloodshed, she has put blood on the naked rock; she did not pour it on the groundso as to cover it with dust.	7 Perchè il sangue di cui è rea è in mezzo di essa; l'ha versato sopra una lastra tersissima, non sul terreno l'ha versato da poter esser ricoperto colla polvere.
8 To make anger rise, to exact vengeance, I have put her blood on the naked rock, so that it should notbe covered:	8 Per eccitare la mia indignazione, per gridar alla vendetta ho esposto il suo sangue sopra una lastra tersissima da non poter esser ricoperto».
9 "So, the Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the bloody city! I too plan to build a great fire.	9 Perciò così dice il Signore Dio: «Guai alla città del sangue della quale io farò un gran rogo!
10 Heap on the wood, light it, cook the meat, prepare the seasoning let the bones burn!	10 Ammassa le ossa, ch'io vi attaccherò il fuoco, le carni saranno consumate e tutta la massa cuocerà e si disfaceranno le ossa.
11 Put the empty pot on the coals to make it hot, until the bronze glows, the filth inside melts and therust is burnt away!	11 Poi la poserai sopra la brace, vuota, affinchè si arroventi e si liquefaccia il suo rame e si sciolga in mezzo ad essa la sua contaminazione e si consumi la sua ruggine.
12 "But al that rust would not come off in the fire.	12 Fatica sprecata! la sua grossa ruggine non si è disfatta neppur col fuoco.
13 Your filth is infamous. Since I have tried to purge you and you would not let yourself be purged ofyour filth, so now you wil never be purged of your filth until I have sated my anger on you.	13 Esecrabile immondezza che è la tua, perchè io ti volli mondare e non ti sei mondata delle tue sozzure, ma tu non ti monderai più fino a tanto che non farò posare tutto il mio sdegno su di te.
14 I, Yahweh, have spoken; this wil happen; I shal act and not relent; I shal show no pity, nocompassion. You will be judged as your conduct and actions deserve -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	14 Io, il Signore, ho parlato: - Verrà tempo e io farò, non transigerò, non risparmierò e non mi lascerò intenerire, secondo i tuoi andamenti, secondo le tue intenzioni io ti giudicherò -», dice il Signore.
15 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	15 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
16 'Son of man, at a blow I am about to deprive you of the delight of your eyes. But you are not tolament, not to weep, not to let your tears run down.	16 «Figlio dell'uomo, ecco che io ti tolgo d'un colpo il desio de' tuoi occhi; e tu trattieni il pianto, non lasciar sgorgare le tue lacrime,
17 Groan in silence, do not go into mourning for the dead, knot your turban round your head, put yoursandals on your feet, do not cover your beard, do not eat the usual food.'	17 soffoca i singhiozzi e non far il lutto domestico. La tua corona resti legata alle tue tempia e i tuoi calzari infilati ai tuoi piedi, non porterai la faccia avviluppata e non mangerai cibi di duolo».
18 I told this to the people in the morning, and my wife died in the evening, and the next morning I did asI had been ordered.	18 Ne parlai dunque, al popolo alla mattina, e alla sera mia moglie morì; e io fece il giorno appresso come il Signore mi aveva ordinato.
19 The people then said to me, 'Will you not explain what meaning these actions have for us?'	19 E il popolo disse a me: «Perchè non ci spieghi quello che significano le cose che tu fai?».
20 I replied, 'The word of Yahweh has been addressed to me as fol ows,	20 E io a loro: «Il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
21 "Say to the House of Israel, the Lord Yahweh says this: I am about to profane my sanctuary, thepride of your strength, the delight of your eyes, the joy of your hearts. Your sons and daughters whom you haveleft behind wil fall by the sword.	21 - Parla alla casa d'Israele: Così dice il Signore Dio: Ecco che io profanerò il mio santuario, l'orgoglio della vostra supremazia, il desio dei vostri occhi e quello che mette in apprensione l'animo vostro: i vostri figli e le vostre figlie che avete lasciati lontani cadranno sotto la spada.
22 Then you wil do as I have done: you wil not cover your beards or eat the usual food;	22 E voi farete come ho fatto io: non vi avvilupperete la faccia e non mangerete cibi di duolo,
23 you will keep your turbans on your heads and your sandals on your feet; you wil not lament or weepbut will waste away for your crimes, groaning among yourselves.	23 porterete in capo le vostre corone e ai piedi i vostri calzari, non farete pianti, nè lamenti e vi consumerete nelle vostre iniquità, ciascuno col proprio fratello farà compianto.
24 Thus Ezekiel is a sign for you. You wil do exactly what he has done. And when this happens, you willknow that I am Lord Yahweh!"	24 Ezechiele sarà per voi un presagio significativo: secondo tutto quello che io feci, farete voi quando ciò accadrà, e saprete che io sono il Signore Dio.
25 'And, son of man, the day that I deprive them of their strength, their crowning joy, the delight of theireyes, the joy of their hearts, their sons and daughters,	25 E tu, figlio dell'uomo, ecco che nel giorno in cui io toglierò da essi la loro superiorità, e il vanto della dignità, e il desio degli occhi loro, su cui i loro animi riposano, e i figliuoli e le figliuole:
26 that day a survivor wil bring you the news.	26 in quel giorno, quando un fuggitivo giungerà a te per recarti l'annunzio;
27 That day your mouth wil be opened to speak to the survivor; you wil speak and no longer be dumb;you wil be a sign for them, and they wil know that I am Yahweh.'	27 in quel giorno la tua bocca si aprirà all'arrivo del fuggitivo, e parlerai e non tacerai più oltre; sarai un segno fatidico per essi: e conoscerete che io sono il Signore -».
