Baruch 5

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Jerusalem, take off your dress of sorrow and distress, put on the beauty of God's glory for evermore,	1 Vesd le, Jeruzsálem, gyászod és nyomorúságod ruháját, és öltözzél annak a dicsőségnek díszébe és pompájába, melyet megad neked Isten örökre.
2 wrap the cloak of God's saving justice around you, put the diadem of the Eternal One's glory on yourhead,	2 Vedd körül magadat az Isten igazságának palástjával, és tedd fejedre az Örökkévaló dicsőségének koronáját.
3 for God means to show your splendour to every nation under heaven,	3 Mert Isten megmutatja rajtad fényességét mindenkinek, aki az ég alatt van.
4 and the name God gives you for evermore wil be, 'Peace-through-Justice, and Glory-through-Devotion'.	4 Mert Isten ezt a nevet adja neked mindörökre: »Igazság békéje« és »Jámborság dicsősége«.
5 Arise, Jerusalem, stand on the heights and turn your eyes to the east: see your children reassembledfrom west and east at the Holy One's command, rejoicing because God has remembered.	5 Kelj fel, Jeruzsálem, állj a magaslatra, tekints kelet felé, és nézd, mint gyűlnek egybe fiaid napkelettől napnyugatig a Szentnek szavára, és örvendeznek azon, hogy megemlékezett róluk Isten!
6 Though they left you on foot driven by enemies, now God brings them back to you, carried gloriously,like a royal throne.	6 Mert gyalog mentek el tőled, elhajtotta őket az ellenség, de az Úr visszahozza őket hozzád; olyan pompával hozzák majd őket, mint a királyi trónt.
7 For God has decreed the flattening of each high mountain, of the everlasting hills, the fil ing of theval eys to make the ground level so that Israel can walk safely in God's glory.	7 Mert elhatározta Isten, hogy alacsonnyá teszi a magas hegyeket mind, és az örök bérceket, és betölti a föld színéig a völgyeket, hogy bizton haladhasson Izrael az Isten dicsőségére.

9 for God wil guide Israel in joy by the light of his glory, with the mercy and saving justice which comefrom him.
