Baruch 5

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Jerusalem, take off your dress of sorrow and distress, put on the beauty of God's glory for evermore,	1 Quítate tu ropa de duelo y de aflicción, Jerusalén, vístete para siempre con el esplendor de la gloria de Dios,
2 wrap the cloak of God's saving justice around you, put the diadem of the Eternal One's glory on yourhead,	2 cúbrete con el manto de la justicia de Dios, coloca sobre tu cabeza la diadema de gloria del Eterno.
3 for God means to show your splendour to every nation under heaven,	3 Porque Dios mostrará tu resplandor a todo lo que existe bajo el cielo.
4 and the name God gives you for evermore wil be, 'Peace-through-Justice, and Glory-through-Devotion'.	4 Porque recibirás de Dios para siempre este nombre: «Paz en la justicia» y «Gloria en la piedad».
5 Arise, Jerusalem, stand on the heights and turn your eyes to the east: see your children reassembledfrom west and east at the Holy One's command, rejoicing because God has remembered.	5 Levántate, Jerusalén, sube a lo alto y dirige tu mirada hacia el Oriente: mira a tus hijos reunidos desde el oriente al occidente por la palabra del Santo, llenos de gozo, porque Dios se acordó de ellos.
6 Though they left you on foot driven by enemies, now God brings them back to you, carried gloriously,like a royal throne.	6 Ellos salieron de ti a pie, llevados por enemigos, pero Dios te los devuelve, traídos gloriosamente como en un trono real.
7 For God has decreed the flattening of each high mountain, of the everlasting hills, the fil ing of theval eys to make the ground level so that Israel can walk safely in God's glory.	7 Porque Dios dispuso que sean aplanadas las altas montañas y las colinas seculares, y que se rellenen los valles hasta nivelar la tierra, para que Israel camine seguro bajo la gloria de Dios.
8 And the forests and every fragrant tree wil provide shade for Israel, at God's command;	8 También los bosques y todas las plantas aromáticas darán sombra a Israel por orden de Dios,
9 for God wil guide Israel in joy by the light of his glory, with the mercy and saving justice which comefrom him. A copy of the letter which Jeremiah sent to those about to be led captive to Babylon by the king of theBabylonians, to tel them what he had been commanded by God:	9 porque Dios conducirá a Israel en la alegría, a la luz de su gloria, acompañándolo con su misericordia y su justicia.
