Baruch 5

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Jerusalem, take off your dress of sorrow and distress, put on the beauty of God's glory for evermore,	1 Jerusalén, quítate tu ropa de duelo y aflición, y vístete para siempre el esplendor de la gloria que viene de Dios.
2 wrap the cloak of God's saving justice around you, put the diadem of the Eternal One's glory on yourhead,	2 Envuélvete en el manto de la justicia que procede de Dios, pon en tu cabeza la diadema de gloria del Eterno.
3 for God means to show your splendour to every nation under heaven,	3 Porque Dios mostrará tu esplendor a todo lo que hay bajo el cielo.
4 and the name God gives you for evermore wil be, 'Peace-through-Justice, and Glory-through-Devotion'.	4 Pues tu nombre se llamará de parte de Dios para siempre: «Paz de la Justicia» y «Gloria de la Piedad».
5 Arise, Jerusalem, stand on the heights and turn your eyes to the east: see your children reassembledfrom west and east at the Holy One's command, rejoicing because God has remembered.	5 Levántate, Jerusalén, sube a la altura, tiende tu vista hacia Oriente y ve a tus hijos reunidos desde oriente a occidente, a la voz del Santo, alegres del recuerdo de Dios.
6 Though they left you on foot driven by enemies, now God brings them back to you, carried gloriously,like a royal throne.	6 Salieron de ti a pie, llevados por enemigos, pero Dios te los devuelve traídos con gloria, como un trono real.
7 For God has decreed the flattening of each high mountain, of the everlasting hills, the fil ing of theval eys to make the ground level so that Israel can walk safely in God's glory.	7 Porque ha ordenado Dios que sean rebajados todo monte elevado y los collados eternos, y comados los valles hasta allanar la tierra, para que Israel marche en seguro bajo la gloria de Dios.
8 And the forests and every fragrant tree wil provide shade for Israel, at God's command;	8 Y hasta las selvas y todo árbol aromático darán sombra a Israel por orden de Dios.
9 for God wil guide Israel in joy by the light of his glory, with the mercy and saving justice which comefrom him. A copy of the letter which Jeremiah sent to those about to be led captive to Babylon by the king of theBabylonians, to tel them what he had been commanded by God:	9 Porque Dios guiará a Israel con alegría a la luz de su gloria, con la misericordia y la justicia que vienen de él. Copia de la carta que envió Jeremías a los que iban a ser llevados cautivos a Babilonia por el rey de los babilonios, para comunicarles lo que Dios le había ordenado.
