Leviticus 24

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 'Order the Israelites to bring you crushed-olive oil for the lamp-stand, and keep a flame burning therecontinual y.	2 "Ordina ai figli d'Israele che ti portino olio puro di olive macinate per la lampada, per farne salire una fiamma permanente.
3 Aaron wil keep it permanently in trim from evening to morning, outside the curtain of the Testimony inthe Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh. This is a perpetual decree for your descendants:	3 Aronne la disponga nella tenda del convegno, fuori del velo della testimonianza; sarà sempre davanti al Signore, dalla sera fino al mattino: legge eterna per tutte le vostre generazioni.
4 Aaron wil keep the lamps permanently trimmed on the pure lamp-stand before Yahweh.	4 Disporrà le lampade sopra il candelabro d'oro puro: siano davanti al Signore sempre.
5 'You will take wheaten flour and with it bake twelve loaves, each of two-tenths of an ephah.	5 Prenderai del fior di farina e cuocerai dodici focacce di due decimi di efa ciascuna.
6 You will then place them in two rows of six on the pure table before Yahweh	6 Le metterai in due pile, sei per ogni pila, sul tavolo d'oro puro davanti al Signore.
7 and put pure incense on each row, to make it food offered as a memorial, food burnt for Yahweh.	7 Su ciascuna pila metterai incenso puro e sarà sul pane come un memoriale, dono per il Signore.
8 Every Sabbath they wil be arranged before Yahweh. The Israelites wil provide them as a permanentcovenant.	8 Ogni giorno di sabato lo si disporrà davanti al Signore, sempre. Sarà offerto dai figli d'Israele come patto eterno.
9 They wil belong to Aaron and his sons, who wil eat them inside the holy place since, for him, they arean especial y holy part of the food burnt for Yahweh. This is a permanent law.'	9 Apparterrà ad Aronne e ai suoi figli, che lo mangeranno in luogo sacro, perché è cosa sacrosanta per lui fra i doni offerti al Signore. Legge eterna!".
10 There was a man whose mother was an Israelite woman and whose father was an Egyptian. Hecame out of his house and, in the camp, surrounded by the Israelites, he began to quarrel with a man who wasan Israelite.	10 Il figlio di una donna israelita e di un egiziano uscì in mezzo ai figli d'Israele, e il figlio della donna israelita e un uomo israelita vennero a diverbio nell'accampamento.
11 Now the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name and cursed it. He was then taken toMoses (his mother's name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan).	11 Il figlio della donna israelita bestemmiò il Nome e lo maledisse. Allora lo portarono davanti a Mosè. Il nome della madre era Selòmit, figlia di Dibri della tribù di Dan.
12 He was then put under guard until Yahweh's will should be made clear to them.	12 Lo misero sotto custodia, per decidere secondo l'oracolo del Signore.
13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	13 Il Signore ordinò a Mosè:
14 'Take the man who pronounced the curse outside the camp. Al those who heard him must then laytheir hands on his head, and the whole community must then stone him.	14 "Fa' uscire il bestemmiatore fuori del campo; coloro che lo hanno udito mettano le loro mani sulla sua testa e tutta la comunità lo lapidi.
15 Then say to the Israelites: "Anyone who curses his God will bear the consequences of his sin,	15 Ai figli d'Israele dirai: "Chiunque maledice il suo Dio porterà il peso del suo peccato.
16 and anyone who blasphemes the name of Yahweh wil be put to death; the whole community wilstone him; be he alien or native-born, if he blasphemes the Name, he wil be put to death.	16 Chi bestemmia il nome del Signore sia messo a morte; lo lapidi tutta la comunità. Sia straniero che nativo, se maledirà il Nome, sarà messo a morte".
17 "Anyone who strikes down any other human being will be put to death.	17 Se un uomo colpisce un essere umano sia messo a morte.
18 "Anyone who strikes down an animal will make restitution for it: a life for a life.	18 Chi colpisce un animale ne darà un risarcimento: vita per vita.
19 "Anyone who injures a neighbour shall receive the same in return,	19 Se un uomo ha inflitto una mutilazione a un suo compatriota, come ha fatto così gli venga fatto:
20 broken limb for broken limb, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. As the injury inflicted, so will be the injurysuffered.	20 frattura per frattura, occhio per occhio, dente per dente; come egli ha inflitto una mutilazione a qualcuno, così la si infligga a lui.
21 Whoever strikes down an animal wil make restitution for it, and whoever strikes down a human beingwil be put to death.	21 Chi colpisce un animale, ne darà un risarcimento, e chi colpisce un uomo sarà messo a morte.
22 The sentence you pass wil be the same, whether on native-born or on alien; for I am Yahweh yourGod." '	22 La sentenza sarà unica presso di voi, sia che si tratti di uno straniero o di un nativo. Io sono il Signore Dio vostro".
23 Moses having told the Israelites this, they took the man who had pronounced the curse out of thecamp and stoned him. And so the Israelites carried out Yahweh's order to Moses.	23 Mosè parlò ai figli d'Israele ed essi fecero uscire il bestemmiatore fuori del campo e lo lapidarono. I figli d'Israele fecero come aveva comandato il Signore a Mosè.
