Leviticus 24

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην λεγων
2 'Order the Israelites to bring you crushed-olive oil for the lamp-stand, and keep a flame burning therecontinual y.	2 εντειλαι τοις υιοις ισραηλ και λαβετωσαν μοι ελαιον ελαινον καθαρον κεκομμενον εις φως καυσαι λυχνον δια παντος
3 Aaron wil keep it permanently in trim from evening to morning, outside the curtain of the Testimony inthe Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh. This is a perpetual decree for your descendants:	3 εξωθεν του καταπετασματος εν τη σκηνη του μαρτυριου καυσουσιν αυτον ααρων και οι υιοι αυτου απο εσπερας εως πρωι ενωπιον κυριου ενδελεχως νομιμον αιωνιον εις τας γενεας υμων
4 Aaron wil keep the lamps permanently trimmed on the pure lamp-stand before Yahweh.	4 επι της λυχνιας της καθαρας καυσετε τους λυχνους εναντι κυριου εως το πρωι
5 'You will take wheaten flour and with it bake twelve loaves, each of two-tenths of an ephah.	5 και λημψεσθε σεμιδαλιν και ποιησετε αυτην δωδεκα αρτους δυο δεκατων εσται ο αρτος ο εις
6 You will then place them in two rows of six on the pure table before Yahweh	6 και επιθησετε αυτους δυο θεματα εξ αρτους το εν θεμα επι την τραπεζαν την καθαραν εναντι κυριου
7 and put pure incense on each row, to make it food offered as a memorial, food burnt for Yahweh.	7 και επιθησετε επι το θεμα λιβανον καθαρον και αλα και εσονται εις αρτους εις αναμνησιν προκειμενα τω κυριω
8 Every Sabbath they wil be arranged before Yahweh. The Israelites wil provide them as a permanentcovenant.	8 τη ημερα των σαββατων προθησεται εναντι κυριου δια παντος ενωπιον των υιων ισραηλ διαθηκην αιωνιον
9 They wil belong to Aaron and his sons, who wil eat them inside the holy place since, for him, they arean especial y holy part of the food burnt for Yahweh. This is a permanent law.'	9 και εσται ααρων και τοις υιοις αυτου και φαγονται αυτα εν τοπω αγιω εστιν γαρ αγια των αγιων τουτο αυτω απο των θυσιαζομενων τω κυριω νομιμον αιωνιον
10 There was a man whose mother was an Israelite woman and whose father was an Egyptian. Hecame out of his house and, in the camp, surrounded by the Israelites, he began to quarrel with a man who wasan Israelite.	10 και εξηλθεν υιος γυναικος ισραηλιτιδος και ουτος ην υιος αιγυπτιου εν τοις υιοις ισραηλ και εμαχεσαντο εν τη παρεμβολη ο εκ της ισραηλιτιδος και ο ανθρωπος ο ισραηλιτης
11 Now the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name and cursed it. He was then taken toMoses (his mother's name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan).	11 και επονομασας ο υιος της γυναικος της ισραηλιτιδος το ονομα κατηρασατο και ηγαγον αυτον προς μωυσην και το ονομα της μητρος αυτου σαλωμιθ θυγατηρ δαβρι εκ της φυλης δαν
12 He was then put under guard until Yahweh's will should be made clear to them.	12 και απεθεντο αυτον εις φυλακην διακριναι αυτον δια προσταγματος κυριου
13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	13 και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην λεγων
14 'Take the man who pronounced the curse outside the camp. Al those who heard him must then laytheir hands on his head, and the whole community must then stone him.	14 εξαγαγε τον καταρασαμενον εξω της παρεμβολης και επιθησουσιν παντες οι ακουσαντες τας χειρας αυτων επι την κεφαλην αυτου και λιθοβολησουσιν αυτον πασα η συναγωγη
15 Then say to the Israelites: "Anyone who curses his God will bear the consequences of his sin,	15 και τοις υιοις ισραηλ λαλησον και ερεις προς αυτους ανθρωπος ος εαν καταρασηται θεον αμαρτιαν λημψεται
16 and anyone who blasphemes the name of Yahweh wil be put to death; the whole community wilstone him; be he alien or native-born, if he blasphemes the Name, he wil be put to death.	16 ονομαζων δε το ονομα κυριου θανατω θανατουσθω λιθοις λιθοβολειτω αυτον πασα συναγωγη ισραηλ εαν τε προσηλυτος εαν τε αυτοχθων εν τω ονομασαι αυτον το ονομα κυριου τελευτατω
17 "Anyone who strikes down any other human being will be put to death.	17 και ανθρωπος ος αν παταξη ψυχην ανθρωπου και αποθανη θανατω θανατουσθω
18 "Anyone who strikes down an animal will make restitution for it: a life for a life.	18 και ος αν παταξη κτηνος και αποθανη αποτεισατω ψυχην αντι ψυχης
19 "Anyone who injures a neighbour shall receive the same in return,	19 και εαν τις δω μωμον τω πλησιον ως εποιησεν αυτω ωσαυτως αντιποιηθησεται αυτω
20 broken limb for broken limb, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. As the injury inflicted, so will be the injurysuffered.	20 συντριμμα αντι συντριμματος οφθαλμον αντι οφθαλμου οδοντα αντι οδοντος καθοτι αν δω μωμον τω ανθρωπω ουτως δοθησεται αυτω
21 Whoever strikes down an animal wil make restitution for it, and whoever strikes down a human beingwil be put to death.	21 ος αν παταξη ανθρωπον και αποθανη θανατω θανατουσθω
22 The sentence you pass wil be the same, whether on native-born or on alien; for I am Yahweh yourGod." '	22 δικαιωσις μια εσται τω προσηλυτω και τω εγχωριω οτι εγω ειμι κυριος ο θεος υμων
23 Moses having told the Israelites this, they took the man who had pronounced the curse out of thecamp and stoned him. And so the Israelites carried out Yahweh's order to Moses.	23 και ελαλησεν μωυσης τοις υιοις ισραηλ και εξηγαγον τον καταρασαμενον εξω της παρεμβολης και ελιθοβολησαν αυτον εν λιθοις και οι υιοι ισραηλ εποιησαν καθα συνεταξεν κυριος τω μωυση
