Isaiah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne; his train fil ed thesanctuary.	1 L'anno in cui morì il re Ozia, io vidi il Signore assiso sopra un trono eccelso ed elevato; le estremità (delle sue vesti) riempivano 11 tempio.
2 Above him stood seraphs, each one with six wings: two to cover its face, two to cover its feet and two forflying;	2 Davanti a lui stavano i Serafini, ciascuno dei quali aveva sei ali, con due ne velavan la faccia, con due i piedi, e colle altre due volavano.
3 and they were shouting these words to each other: Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh Sabaoth. His glory fil s thewhole earth.	3 E cantavano alternativamente, e dicevano: « Santo, Santo, Santo è il Signore Dio degli eserciti: tutta la terra è piena della sua gloria ».
4 The door-posts shook at the sound of their shouting, and the Temple was ful of smoke.	4 I cardini delle porte furono scossi dal loro grido, e la casa fu ripiena di fumo.
5 Then I said: 'Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of uncleanlips, and my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh Sabaoth.'	5 Allora io dissi: « Guai a me, perchè non ho parlato! Io sono un uomo di labbra immonde, ed abito in mezzo ad un popolo d'immonde labbra, e ho visto cogli occhi miei il Re, il Signore degli eserciti! »
6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding in its hand a live coal which it had taken from the altar witha pair of tongs.	6 Ma uno dei Serafini volò verso di me con una pietruzza tolta colle molle dall'altare,
7 With this it touched my mouth and said: 'Look, this has touched your lips, your guilt has been removedand your sin forgiven.'	7 con essa toccò la mia bocca, e disse: « Ecco, questa ha toccate le tue labbra: sarà tolta la tua iniquità ed espiato il tuo peccato ».
8 I then heard the voice of the Lord saying: 'Whom shal I send? Who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here amI, send me.'	8 Allora sentii la voce del Signore che diceva: « Chi potrò mandare? Chi andrà per noi? » E io dissi: « Eccomi: manda me ».
9 He said: 'Go, and say to this people, "Listen and listen, but never understand! Look and look, but neverperceive!"	9 Egli disse: « Va a dire a questo popolo: Ascoltate e guardate di non capire, guardate e fate di non intendere.
10 Make this people's heart coarse, make their ears dul , shut their eyes tight, or they wil use their eyes tosee, use their ears to hear, use their heart to understand, and change their ways and be healed.'	10 Tu poi acceca il cuore di questo popolo, rendi insensibili le sue orecchie, chiudigli gli occhi, affinchè, coi suoi occhi, non vegga, e colle sue orecchie, non senta e non coniprenda col suo cuore, e così non si converta e non lo risani ».
11 I then said, 'Until when, Lord?' He replied, 'Until towns are in ruins and deserted, houses untenantedand a great desolation reigns in the land,	11 E io dissi: « Fino a quando, Signore? » Egli rispose: « Finché le città non sian devastate e senza abitanti, e le case non restino senz'uomini, e la terra non sia lasciata deserta.
12 and Yahweh has driven the people away and the country is total y abandoned.	12 Il Signore manderà lontano gli uomini, e si moltiplicheranno i deserti sulla terra.
13 And suppose one-tenth of them are left in it, that wil be stripped again, like the terebinth, like the oak,cut back to the stock; their stock is a holy seed.'	13 Essa sarà ancor decimata; ma si convertirà, e sarà mostrata a dito, come terebinto, e come quercia che spandeva i suoi rami, e ciò che resterà in lei sarà santa semenza ».
