Isaiah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne; his train fil ed thesanctuary.	1 - Nell'anno in cui morì il re Ozia, vidi il Signore assiso sopra un trono eccelso ed elevato, e ciò ch'era più in basso di lui, riempiva il tempio.
2 Above him stood seraphs, each one with six wings: two to cover its face, two to cover its feet and two forflying;	2 Sopra di esso stavano dei Serafini con sei ali ciascuno: con due si velavano il volto, con due si coprivano i piedi, e con due volavano.
3 and they were shouting these words to each other: Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh Sabaoth. His glory fil s thewhole earth.	3 E cantavano con voci alterne dicendo: «Santo, Santo, Santo il Signore Dio degli eserciti, piena è tutta la terra della sua gloria».
4 The door-posts shook at the sound of their shouting, and the Temple was ful of smoke.	4 E gli architravi tremavano sopra gli stipiti a quei cori di voci, e la casa si riempì di fumo.
5 Then I said: 'Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of uncleanlips, and my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh Sabaoth.'	5 E dissi: «Ohimè, che non ho fatto sentire la mia voce! perchè sono un uomo dalle labbra immonde, e abito in mezzo ad un popolo dalle labbra immonde; eppure è il re, Signore degli eserciti, che hanno veduto gli occhi miei!».
6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding in its hand a live coal which it had taken from the altar witha pair of tongs.	6 E volò a me uno dei Serafini, e teneva un carbone in mano, preso colle molle di sopra l'altare.
7 With this it touched my mouth and said: 'Look, this has touched your lips, your guilt has been removedand your sin forgiven.'	7 E toccò la mia bocca e disse: «Ecco, questo ha toccato le tue labbra, e sarà tolta la tua iniquità e purificato il tuo peccato».
8 I then heard the voice of the Lord saying: 'Whom shal I send? Who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here amI, send me.'	8 Allora udii la voce del Signore che diceva: «Chi manderò io? e chi andrà per noi?». E io dissi: «Eccomi, manda me».
9 He said: 'Go, and say to this people, "Listen and listen, but never understand! Look and look, but neverperceive!"	9 E disse: «Va', e dirai a questo popolo: - Gli orecchi per udire li avete, ma non volete capire, avete gli occhi per vedere, ma non volete intendere. -
10 Make this people's heart coarse, make their ears dul , shut their eyes tight, or they wil use their eyes tosee, use their ears to hear, use their heart to understand, and change their ways and be healed.'	10 Acceca il cuore a questo popolo e indura le sue orecchie e chiudigli gli occhi, affinchè non vegga co' suoi occhi, nè oda coi suoi orecchi, e non comprenda col suo cuore e si converta e lo risani».
11 I then said, 'Until when, Lord?' He replied, 'Until towns are in ruins and deserted, houses untenantedand a great desolation reigns in the land,	11 E io dissi: «E fino a quando, o Signore?». E disse: «Fino a tanto che le città restino nella desolazione, e le case, disabitate, e sia la terra lasciata in abbandono».
12 and Yahweh has driven the people away and the country is total y abandoned.	12 E il Signore allontanerà la gente, e crescerà l'abbandono di quella rimasta nel paese.
13 And suppose one-tenth of them are left in it, that wil be stripped again, like the terebinth, like the oak,cut back to the stock; their stock is a holy seed.'	13 Vi sarà ancora, della sua popolazione, appena il decimo, ma tornerà a esser esposta all'ingiuria; come un terebinto e come una quercia che si erge spandendo i propri rami: il seme santo sarà quello che si ergerà sostegno in essa.
