Isaiah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne; his train fil ed thesanctuary.	1 El año de la muerte del rey Ozías, yo vi al Señor sentado en un trono elevado y excelso, y las orlas de su manto llenaban el Templo.
2 Above him stood seraphs, each one with six wings: two to cover its face, two to cover its feet and two forflying;	2 Unos serafines estaban de pie por encima de él. Cada uno tenía seis alas: con dos se cubrían el rostro, y con dos se cubrían los pies, y con dos volaban.
3 and they were shouting these words to each other: Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh Sabaoth. His glory fil s thewhole earth.	3 Y uno gritaba hacia el otro: «¡Santo santo, santo es el Señor de los ejércitos! Toda la tierra está llena de su gloria.
4 The door-posts shook at the sound of their shouting, and the Temple was ful of smoke.	4 Los fundamentos de los umbrales temblaron al clamor de su voz, y la Casa se llenó de humo.
5 Then I said: 'Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of uncleanlips, and my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh Sabaoth.'	5 Yo dije: «¡Ay de mí, estoy perdido! Porque soy un hombre de labios impuros, y habito en medio de un pueblo de labios impuros; ¡y mis ojos han visto al Rey, el Señor de los ejércitos!».
6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding in its hand a live coal which it had taken from the altar witha pair of tongs.	6 Uno de los serafines voló hacia mí, llevando en su mano una brasa que había tomado con unas tenazas de encima del altar.
7 With this it touched my mouth and said: 'Look, this has touched your lips, your guilt has been removedand your sin forgiven.'	7 El le hizo tocar mi boca, y dijo: «Mira: esto ha tocado tus labios; tu culpa ha sido borrada y tu pecado ha sido expiado».
8 I then heard the voice of the Lord saying: 'Whom shal I send? Who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here amI, send me.'	8 Yo oí la voz del Señor que decía: «¿A quién enviaré y quién irá por nosotros?». Yo respondí: «¡Aquí estoy: envíame!».
9 He said: 'Go, and say to this people, "Listen and listen, but never understand! Look and look, but neverperceive!"	9 «Ve, me dijo; tú dirás a este pueblo: "Escuchen, sí, pero sin entender: miren bien, pero sin comprender".
10 Make this people's heart coarse, make their ears dul , shut their eyes tight, or they wil use their eyes tosee, use their ears to hear, use their heart to understand, and change their ways and be healed.'	10 Embota el corazón de este pueblo. endurece sus oídos y cierra sus ojos, no sea que vea con sus ojos y oiga con sus oídos, que su corazón comprenda y que se convierta y sane».
11 I then said, 'Until when, Lord?' He replied, 'Until towns are in ruins and deserted, houses untenantedand a great desolation reigns in the land,	11 Yo dije: «¿Hasta cuándo, Señor?». El respondió: «Hasta que las ciudades queden devastadas, sin habitantes, hasta que las casas estén sin un hombre y el suelo devastado sea una desolación.
12 and Yahweh has driven the people away and the country is total y abandoned.	12 El Señor alejará a los hombres y será grande el abandono en medio del país.
13 And suppose one-tenth of them are left in it, that wil be stripped again, like the terebinth, like the oak,cut back to the stock; their stock is a holy seed.'	13 Y si queda una décima parte, ella, a su vez, será destruida. Como el terebinto y la encina que, al ser abatidos, conservan su tronco talado, así ese tronco es una semilla santa».
