Isaiah 32

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 There wil be a king who reigns uprightly and princes who rule with fair judgement;	1 ιδου γαρ βασιλευς δικαιος βασιλευσει και αρχοντες μετα κρισεως αρξουσιν
2 each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the storm, like streams on arid ground, like theshade of a solid rock in a desolate land.	2 και εσται ο ανθρωπος κρυπτων τους λογους αυτου και κρυβησεται ως αφ' υδατος φερομενου και φανησεται εν σιων ως ποταμος φερομενος ενδοξος εν γη διψωση
3 The eyes of seers wil no longer be closed, the ears of hearers wil be alert,	3 και ουκετι εσονται πεποιθοτες επ' ανθρωποις αλλα τα ωτα δωσουσιν ακουειν
4 the heart of the hasty wil learn to think things over, and the tongue of stammerers wil speak promptlyand clearly.	4 και η καρδια των ασθενουντων προσεξει του ακουειν και αι γλωσσαι αι ψελλιζουσαι ταχυ μαθησονται λαλειν ειρηνην
5 The fool wil no longer be cal ed generous, nor the rascal be styled bountiful.	5 και ουκετι μη ειπωσιν τω μωρω αρχειν και ουκετι μη ειπωσιν οι υπηρεται σου σιγα
6 For the fool speaks fol y and his heart is set on vil ainy; he is godless in his actions and his wordsascribe error to Yahweh; he starves the hungry of their food and refuses drink to the thirsty.	6 ο γαρ μωρος μωρα λαλησει και η καρδια αυτου ματαια νοησει του συντελειν ανομα και λαλειν προς κυριον πλανησιν του διασπειραι ψυχας πεινωσας και τας ψυχας τας διψωσας κενας ποιησαι
7 Everything to do with the rascal is evil, he devises infamous plans to ruin the poor with lying wordseven when the needy has right on his side;	7 η γαρ βουλη των πονηρων ανομα βουλευσεται καταφθειραι ταπεινους εν λογοις αδικοις και διασκεδασαι λογους ταπεινων εν κρισει
8 but the noble person plans only noble things, noble his every move.	8 οι δε ευσεβεις συνετα εβουλευσαντο και αυτη η βουλη μενει
9 Stand up, you haughty women, listen to my words; you over-confident daughters, pay attention to whatI say.	9 γυναικες πλουσιαι αναστητε και ακουσατε της φωνης μου θυγατερες εν ελπιδι ακουσατε τους λογους μου
10 Within one year and a few days you wil tremble, you over-confident women; grape-harvesting will befinished, gathering will never happen again.	10 ημερας ενιαυτου μνειαν ποιησασθε εν οδυνη μετ' ελπιδος ανηλωται ο τρυγητος πεπαυται ο σπορος και ουκετι μη ελθη
11 Shudder, you haughty women, tremble, you over-confident women; strip, undress, put sackclothround your waists.	11 εκστητε λυπηθητε αι πεποιθυιαι εκδυσασθε γυμναι γενεσθε περιζωσασθε σακκους τας οσφυας
12 Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine,	12 και επι των μαστων κοπτεσθε απο αγρου επιθυμηματος και αμπελου γενηματος
13 for my people's soil where the bramble-bush wil be growing and for al the happy houses, for therejoicing city.	13 η γη του λαου μου ακανθα και χορτος αναβησεται και εκ πασης οικιας ευφροσυνη αρθησεται πολις πλουσια
14 For the citadel wil be abandoned and the thronged city deserted, Ophel and the Keep wil be denudedfor ever, the playground of wild donkeys and the pasture of flocks,	14 οικοι εγκαταλελειμμενοι πλουτον πολεως και οικους επιθυμητους αφησουσιν και εσονται αι κωμαι σπηλαια εως του αιωνος ευφροσυνη ονων αγριων βοσκηματα ποιμενων
15 until the spirit is poured out on us from above, and the desert becomes an orchard, and an orchardthat seems like a forest.	15 εως αν επελθη εφ' υμας πνευμα αφ' υψηλου και εσται ερημος ο χερμελ και ο χερμελ εις δρυμον λογισθησεται
16 Fair judgement wil fix its home in the desert, and uprightness live in this orchard,	16 και αναπαυσεται εν τη ερημω κριμα και δικαιοσυνη εν τω καρμηλω κατοικησει
17 and the product of uprightness will be peace, the effect of uprightness being quiet and security forever.	17 και εσται τα εργα της δικαιοσυνης ειρηνη και κρατησει η δικαιοσυνη αναπαυσιν και πεποιθοτες εως του αιωνος
18 My people will live in a peaceful home, in peaceful houses, tranquil dwel ings.	18 και κατοικησει ο λαος αυτου εν πολει ειρηνης και ενοικησει πεποιθως και αναπαυσονται μετα πλουτου
19 And should the forest be total y destroyed and the city gravely humiliated,	19 η δε χαλαζα εαν καταβη ουκ εφ' υμας ηξει και εσονται οι ενοικουντες εν τοις δρυμοις πεποιθοτες ως οι εν τη πεδινη
20 You wil be happy to sow wherever there is water and to let the ox and donkey roam free.	20 μακαριοι οι σπειροντες επι παν υδωρ ου βους και ονος πατει
