NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 A hard lot has been created for human beings, a heavy yoke lies on the children of Adam from the daythey come out of their mother's womb, till the day they return to the mother of them al .	1 Un grande affanno è stato dato ad ogni uomo, un giogo pesante è sopra i figli di Adamo, da quando escono dal seno della madre fino a quando fan ritorno alla madre di tutti.
2 What fills them with foreboding and their hearts with fear is dread of the day of death.	2 I loro pensieri e la trepidazione del cuore esprimono l'attesa del giorno della morte.
3 From the one who sits on a glorious throne to the wretch in dust and ashes,	3 Da chi siede sopra un trono di gloria fino a chi sta nella terra e nella cenere,
4 from the one who wears purple and a crown to the one dressed in sacking, al is fury and jealousy,turmoil and unrest, fear of death, rivalry, strife.	4 da chi indossa porpora e corona fino a chi veste di lino grezzo: rabbia, invidia, ansietà e agitazione, paura della morte, collera e contese.

24 Brothers and al ies are good in times of trouble; better than either, almsgiving to the rescue.	24 Fratelli e soccorritori aiutano nella tribolazione, ma più ancora è l'elemosina che libera.
25 Gold and silver wil steady your feet; more esteemed than either, good advice.	25 L'oro e l'argento sostengono i passi, ma vale di più un buon consiglio.
26 Money and strength make a confident heart; better than either, the fear of the Lord. With fear of theLord, nothing is lacking: no need to seek for other help.	26 Ricchezze e forza esaltano il cuore, ma più d'entrambi il timore del Signore. Col timore del Signore non c'è indigenza, allora non c'è da cercare aiuto.
27 Fear of the Lord is a paradise of blessing, a better protection than the highest reputation.	27 Il timore del Signore è come giardino di benedizione, ricopre più di ogni altra gloria.
28 My child, do not live by sponging off others, better be dead than be a sponger.	28 Figlio, non vivere una vita di mendico, è meglio morire che mendicare.
29 A life spent in eyeing someone else's table cannot be accounted a life at al . Other people's fooddefiles the gul et; a wise, wel -brought-up person wil beware of doing this.	29 Per l'uomo che guarda alla tavola altrui l'esistenza non merita il nome di vita. Si contamina pure con cibi proibiti, ma l'uomo saggio e istruito se ne guarderà.
30 What a sponger says may sound very sweet but in his bel y there burns a fire.	30 Alla bocca dello spudorato piace mendicare, ma nel ventre ha un fuoco che gli brucia.
