NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Yahweh is king, the peoples tremble; he is enthroned on the winged creatures, the earth shivers;	1 Il Signore regna! Tremino i popoli; siede sui cherubini: si scuota la terra.
2 Yahweh is great in Zion. He is supreme over al nations;	2 Grande è il Signore in Sion, eccelso sopra tutti i popoli.
3 let them praise your name, great and awesome; holy is he	3 Celebrino il tuo nome, grande e terribile: Santo egli è!
4 and mighty! You are a king who loves justice, you established honesty, justice and uprightness; inJacob it is you who are active.	4 Regna da prode, amante del diritto. Tu hai stabilito ciò ch'è retto; tu solo hai creato in Giacobbe diritto e giustizia.
5 Exalt Yahweh our God, bow down at his footstool; holy is he!	5 Esaltate il Signore nostro Dio, prostratevi allo sgabello dei suoi piedi: Santo egli è!
6 Moses and Aaron are among his priests, and Samuel, calling on his name; they called on Yahweh andhe answered them.	6 Mosè, Aronne, fra i suoi sacerdoti, Samuele, fra quanti invocavano il tuo nome, invocavano il Signore ed egli li esaudiva.
7 He spoke with them in the pil ar of fire, they obeyed his decrees, the Law he gave them.	7 Parlava con loro da una colonna di nubi; essi custodivano i suoi statuti e la legge che aveva loro consegnata.
8 Yahweh our God, you answered them, you were a God of forgiveness to them, but punished them fortheir sins.	8 Signore nostro Dio, tu li esaudivi. Un Dio indulgente eri per loro, pur castigando i loro misfatti.
9 Exalt Yahweh our God, bow down at his holy mountain; holy is Yahweh our God!	9 Esaltate il Signore nostro Dio, prostratevi al suo monte santo. Poiché Santo è il Signore nostro Dio!
