2 rescue me from evil-doers, from men of violence save me.	2 Liberami dai nemici, mio Dio,difendimi dai miei aggressori.
3 Look at them, lurking to ambush me, violent men are attacking me, for no fault, no sin of mine,Yahweh,	3 Liberami da chi fa il male,salvami da chi sparge sangue.
4 for no guilt, they come running to take up position. Wake up, stand by me and keep watch,	4 Ecco, insidiano la mia vita,contro di me congiurano i potenti.Non c’è delitto in me, non c’è peccato, Signore;
5 Yahweh, God of Sabaoth, God of Israel, rise up, to punish al the nations, show no mercy to all thesemalicious traitors.Pause	5 senza mia colpa accorrono e si schierano.Svégliati, vienimi incontro e guarda.
6 Back they come at nightfall, snarling like curs, prowling through the town.	6 Tu, Signore, Dio degli eserciti, Dio d’Israele,àlzati a punire tutte le genti;non avere pietà dei perfidi traditori.
7 Look how they rant in speech with swords on their lips, 'Who is there to hear us?'	7 Ritornano a sera e ringhiano come cani,si aggirano per la città.
8 For your part, Yahweh, you laugh at them, you make mockery of all nations.	8 Eccoli, la bava alla bocca;le loro labbra sono spade.Dicono: «Chi ci ascolta?».
9 My strength, I keep my eyes fixed on you. For my stronghold is God,	9 Ma tu, Signore, ridi di loro,ti fai beffe di tutte le genti.
10 the God who loves me faithfully is coming to meet me, God will let me feast my eyes on those who liein wait for me.	10 Io veglio per te, mia forza,perché Dio è la mia difesa.
11 Do not annihilate them, or my people may forget; shake them in your power, bring them low, Lord,our shield.	11 Il mio Dio mi preceda con il suo amore;Dio mi farà guardare dall’alto i miei nemici.
12 Sin is in their mouths, sin on their lips, so let them be trapped in their pride for the curses and lies thatthey utter.	12 Non ucciderli, perché il mio popolo non dimentichi;disperdili con la tua potenza e abbattili,Signore, nostro scudo.
13 Destroy them in your anger, destroy them til they are no more, and let it be known that God is Masterin Jacob and the whole wide world.Pause	13 Peccato della loro bocca è la parola delle loro labbra;essi cadono nel laccio del loro orgoglio,per le bestemmie e le menzogne che pronunciano.
14 Back they come at nightfal , snarling like curs, prowling through the town,	14 Annientali con furore,annientali e più non esistano,e sappiano che Dio governa in Giacobbe,sino ai confini della terra.
15 scavenging for something to eat, growling unless they have their fil .	15 Ritornano a sera e ringhiano come cani,si aggirano per la città;
16 And so I wil sing of your strength, in the morning acclaim your faithful love; you have been astronghold for me, a refuge when I was in trouble.	16 ecco, vagano in cerca di cibo,ringhiano se non possono saziarsi.
17 My strength, I wil make music for you, for my stronghold is God, the God who loves me faithful y.	17 Ma io canterò la tua forza,esalterò la tua fedeltà al mattino,perché sei stato mia difesa,mio rifugio nel giorno della mia angoscia.
	18 O mia forza, a te voglio cantare,poiché tu sei, o Dio, la mia difesa,Dio della mia fedeltà.
