1 [For the choirmaster Poem Of David When Doeg the Edomite went and warned Saul, 'David has goneto Abimelech's house'] Why take pride in being wicked, you champion in vil ainy, al day long	1 למנצח משכיל לדוד בבוא דואג האדמי ויגד לשאול ויאמר לו בא דוד אל בית אחימלך מה תתהלל ברעה הגבור חסד אל כל היום
2 plotting crime? Your tongue is razor-sharp, you artist in perfidy.	2 הוות תחשב לשונך כתער מלטש עשה רמיה
3 You prefer evil to good, lying to uprightness. Pause	3 אהבת רע מטוב שקר מדבר צדק סלה
4 You revel in destructive talk, treacherous tongue!	4 אהבת כל דברי בלע לשון מרמה
5 That is why God wil crush you, destroy you once and for all, snatch you from your tent, uproot youfrom the land of the living.Pause	5 גם אל יתצך לנצח יחתך ויסחך מאהל ושרשך מארץ חיים סלה
6 The upright wil be awestruck as they see it, they wil mock him,	6 ויראו צדיקים וייראו ועליו ישחקו
7 'So much for someone who would not place his reliance in God, but relied on his own great wealth,and made himself strong by crime.'	7 הנה הגבר לא ישים אלהים מעוזו ויבטח ברב עשרו יעז בהותו
8 But I, like a flourishing olive tree in the house of God, put my trust in God's faithful love, for ever andever.	8 ואני כזית רענן בבית אלהים בטחתי בחסד אלהים עולם ועד
9 I shal praise you for ever for what you have done, and shal trust in your name, so ful of goodness, inthe presence of your faithful.	9 אודך לעולם כי עשית ואקוה שמך כי טוב נגד חסידיך
