1 [For the choirmaster For flutes Psalm Of David] Give ear to my words, Yahweh, spare a thought for mysighing.	1 Salmo di David. Da udienza, o Signore, alle mie parole, pon mente alle mie grida.
2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God! To you I pray,	2 Piegati al suono della mia orazione, mio re, e mio Dio.
3 Yahweh. At daybreak you hear my voice; at daybreak I lay my case before you and fix my eyes on you.	3 Dappoiché a te indirizzerò le mie preghiere; al mattino, o Signore, tu esaudirai la mia voce.
4 You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil, no sinner can be your guest.	4 Al mattino porrommi dinanzi a te, e ti vedrò; perocché tu non sei un Dio, che ami l'iniquità.
5 Boasters cannot stand their ground under your gaze. You hate evil-doers,	5 Né starà presso a te il maligno, né gli ingiusti potran durarla dinanzi agli occhi tuoi.
6 liars you destroy; the violent and deceitful Yahweh detests.	6 Tu hai in odio tutti coloro, che operano l'iniquità; tu disperderai tutti coloro, che parlano menzogna. L'uom sanguinario, e fraudolento sarà in abbominio al Signore;
7 But, so great is your faithful love, I may come into your house, and before your holy temple bow down inreverence of you.	7 Io però nella moltitudine di tua misericordia, Entrerò nella tua casa, mi incurverò verso il tuo santo tempio nel tuo timore.
8 In your saving justice, Yahweh, lead me, because of those who lie in wait for me; make your way plainbefore me.	8 Signore, conducimi nella tua giustizia: per riguardo a' miei nemici fa tu diritta dinanzi a te la mia via.
9 Not a word from their lips can be trusted, through and through they are destruction, their throats arewide -- open graves, their tongues seductive.	9 Imperocché nella loro bocca non è verità: pravo egli è il loro cuore.
10 Lay the guilt on them, God, make their intrigues their own downfal ; for their countless offences, thrustthem from you, since they have rebel ed against you.	10 Un aperto sepolcro ell' è la loro gola; colle loro lingue tessevano inganni: fa tu, o Dio, giudizio di essi. Sian delusi ne' loro disegni; dispergili come si meritano le molte loro empietà, dappoiché ti hanno essi irritato, o Signore.
11 But joy for al who take refuge in you, endless songs of gladness! You shelter them, they rejoice inyou, those who love your name.	11 E si rallegrino tutti coloro, i quali in te confidano: giubileranno in eterno, e tu abiterai in essi. E in te si glorieranno tutti coloro, che amano il tuo nome,
12 It is you who bless the upright, Yahweh, you surround them with favour as with a shield.	12 Perché tu benedirai il giusto. Tu, Signore, della tua buona volontà, quasi di scudo, ci hai d'ogni intorno coperti.
