Psalms 5

1 [For the choirmaster For flutes Psalm Of David] Give ear to my words, Yahweh, spare a thought for mysighing.	1 A karvezetőnek. Fuvolára. Dávid zsoltára.
2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God! To you I pray,	2 Figyelj szavamra, Uram, halld meg panaszomat!
3 Yahweh. At daybreak you hear my voice; at daybreak I lay my case before you and fix my eyes on you.	3 Méltasd figyelmedre kiáltásomat, én királyom és én Istenem!
4 You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil, no sinner can be your guest.	4 Mert hozzád intézem imádságomat, Uram, halld meg hajnalban szavamat, korán reggel eléd állok és rád vetem pillantásom.
5 Boasters cannot stand their ground under your gaze. You hate evil-doers,	5 Bizony, Istenem, te nem kedveled a gonoszságot; Gonosz ember melletted nem marad meg,
6 liars you destroy; the violent and deceitful Yahweh detests.	6 a hamisak nem állhatnak meg szemed előtt.
7 But, so great is your faithful love, I may come into your house, and before your holy temple bow down inreverence of you.	7 Gyűlölöd valamennyi gonosztevőt, a hazudozókat mind elpusztítod. Utálja az Úr a vérontó s álnok embert.
8 In your saving justice, Yahweh, lead me, because of those who lie in wait for me; make your way plainbefore me.	8 Én azonban nagy irgalmadban bízva, bemegyek hajlékodba; Irántad való félelemmel leborulok szent templomod előtt.
9 Not a word from their lips can be trusted, through and through they are destruction, their throats arewide -- open graves, their tongues seductive.	9 Uram, vezess engem igazságodban, ha rám tör ellenségem, tedd egyenessé előttem utadat.
10 Lay the guilt on them, God, make their intrigues their own downfal ; for their countless offences, thrustthem from you, since they have rebel ed against you.	10 Mert szájukban nincs igazság, a szívük hiábavalóság, a torkuk nyitott sír, nyelvük járása álnok.
11 But joy for al who take refuge in you, endless songs of gladness! You shelter them, they rejoice inyou, those who love your name.	11 Isten, mondd ki fölöttük ítéletedet, saját terveikben bukjanak meg! Sok istentelenségük miatt űzd el őket, mert haragra ingereltek téged, Uram.
12 It is you who bless the upright, Yahweh, you surround them with favour as with a shield.	12 De örvendezzenek azok, akik benned bíznak, oltalmazd őket és megdicsőülnek benned, akik szeretik neved.
	13 Mert te, Uram, az igazakat megáldod, jóakaratodat pajzsként borítod rájuk.
