Psalms 5

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [For the choirmaster For flutes Psalm Of David] Give ear to my words, Yahweh, spare a thought for mysighing.	1 Del maestro de coro. Para flautas. Salmo de David.
2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God! To you I pray,	2 Señor, escucha mis palabras, atiende a mis gemidos;
3 Yahweh. At daybreak you hear my voice; at daybreak I lay my case before you and fix my eyes on you.	3 oye mi clamor, mi Rey y mi Dios, porque te estoy suplicando.
4 You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil, no sinner can be your guest.	4 Señor, de madrugada ya escuchas mi voz: por la mañana te expongo mi causa y espero tu respuesta.
5 Boasters cannot stand their ground under your gaze. You hate evil-doers,	5 Tú no eres un Dios que ama la maldad; ningún impío será tu huésped,
6 liars you destroy; the violent and deceitful Yahweh detests.	6 ni los orgullosos podrán resistir delante de tu mirada. Tú detestas a los que hacen el mal
7 But, so great is your faithful love, I may come into your house, and before your holy temple bow down inreverence of you.	7 y destruyes a los mentirosos. ¡Al hombre sanguinario y traicionero lo abomina el Señor!
8 In your saving justice, Yahweh, lead me, because of those who lie in wait for me; make your way plainbefore me.	8 Pero yo, por tu inmensa bondad, llego hasta tu Casa, y me postro ante tu santo Templo con profundo temor.
9 Not a word from their lips can be trusted, through and through they are destruction, their throats arewide -- open graves, their tongues seductive.	9 Guíame, Señor, por tu justicia, porque tengo muchos enemigos: ábreme un camino llano.
10 Lay the guilt on them, God, make their intrigues their own downfal ; for their countless offences, thrustthem from you, since they have rebel ed against you.	10 En su boca no hay sinceridad, su corazón es perverso; su garganta es un sepulcro abierto, aunque adulan con la lengua.
11 But joy for al who take refuge in you, endless songs of gladness! You shelter them, they rejoice inyou, those who love your name.	11 Castígalos, Señor, como culpables, que fracasen sus intrigas; expúlsalos por sus muchos crímenes, porque se han rebelado contra ti.
12 It is you who bless the upright, Yahweh, you surround them with favour as with a shield.	12 Así se alegrarán los que en ti se refugian y siempre cantarán jubilosos; tú proteges a los que aman tu Nombre, y ellos se llenarán de gozo.
	13 Porque tú, Señor, bendices al justo, como un escudo lo cubre tu favor.
