1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Yahweh, the king rejoices in your power; How your saving helpfills him with joy!	1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici SIGNORE, il re si rallegrerà nella tua forza; E quanto festeggerà egli grandemente della tua vittoria!
2 You have granted him his heart's desire, not denied him the prayer of his lips.Pause	2 Tu gli hai dato il desio del suo cuore, E non gli hai rifiutato quel ch’egli ha pronunziato colle sue labbra. Sela.
3 For you come to meet him with blessings of prosperity, put a crown of pure gold on his head.	3 Perciocchè tu gli sei venuto incontro con benedizioni di beni; Tu gli hai posta in sul capo una corona d’oro finissimo.
4 He has asked for life, you have given it him, length of days for ever and ever.	4 Egli ti aveva chiesta vita. E tu gli hai dato lunghezza di giorni in perpetuo.
5 Great his glory through your saving help; you invest him with splendour and majesty.	5 La sua gloria è grande per la tua vittoria; Tu hai messa sopra lui maestà e magnificenza;
6 You confer on him everlasting blessings, you gladden him with the joy of your presence.	6 Perciocchè tu l’hai posto in benedizioni in perpetuo; Tu l’hai rallegrato di letizia col tuo volto
7 For the king puts his trust in Yahweh; the faithful love of the Most High wil keep him from fal ing.	7 Perciocchè il re si confida nel Signore, E nella benignità dell’Altissimo, egli non sarà giammai smosso.
8 Your hand wil reach all your enemies, your right hand al who hate you.	8 La tua mano troverà tutti i tuoi nemici; La tua destra troverà quelli che t’odiano.
9 You will hurl them into a blazing furnace on the day when you appear; Yahweh wil engulf them in his anger, and fire wil devour them.	9 Tu li renderai simili ad un forno ardente, Al tempo della tua ira; Il Signore li abisserà nel suo cruccio, E il fuoco li divorerà.
10 You wil purge the earth of their descendants, the human race of their posterity.	10 Tu farai perire il frutto loro d’in sulla terra, E la lor progenie d’infra i figliuoli degli uomini;
11 They have devised evil against you but, plot as they may, they will not succeed,	11 Perciocchè hanno ordito del male contro a te, Ed hanno divisata una malizia, della quale però non potranno venire a capo.
12 since you will make them turn tail, by shooting your arrows in their faces.	12 Perciocchè tu li metterai per tuo bersaglio; Tu tirerai diritto colle corde de’ tuoi archi contro alla lor faccia.
13 Rise, Yahweh, in your power! We wil sing and make music in honour of your strength.	13 Innalzati, Signore, colla tua forza; Noi canteremo, e salmeggeremo la tua potenza
