2 You have granted him his heart's desire, not denied him the prayer of his lips.Pause	2 Signore, il re gioisce della tua potenza!Quanto esulta per la tua vittoria!
3 For you come to meet him with blessings of prosperity, put a crown of pure gold on his head.	3 Hai esaudito il desiderio del suo cuore,non hai respinto la richiesta delle sue labbra.
4 He has asked for life, you have given it him, length of days for ever and ever.	4 Gli vieni incontro con larghe benedizioni,gli poni sul capo una corona di oro puro.
5 Great his glory through your saving help; you invest him with splendour and majesty.	5 Vita ti ha chiesto, a lui l’hai concessa,lunghi giorni in eterno, per sempre.
6 You confer on him everlasting blessings, you gladden him with the joy of your presence.	6 Grande è la sua gloria per la tua vittoria,lo ricopri di maestà e di onore,
7 For the king puts his trust in Yahweh; the faithful love of the Most High wil keep him from fal ing.	7 poiché gli accordi benedizioni per sempre,lo inondi di gioia dinanzi al tuo volto.
8 Your hand wil reach all your enemies, your right hand al who hate you.	8 Perché il re confida nel Signore:per la fedeltà dell’Altissimo non sarà mai scosso.
9 You will hurl them into a blazing furnace on the day when you appear; Yahweh wil engulf them in his anger, and fire wil devour them.	9 La tua mano raggiungerà tutti i nemici,la tua destra raggiungerà quelli che ti odiano.
10 You wil purge the earth of their descendants, the human race of their posterity.	10 Gettali in una fornace ardentenel giorno in cui ti mostrerai;nella sua ira li inghiottirà il Signore,li divorerà il fuoco.
11 They have devised evil against you but, plot as they may, they will not succeed,	11 Eliminerai dalla terra il loro frutto,la loro stirpe di mezzo agli uomini.
12 since you will make them turn tail, by shooting your arrows in their faces.	12 Perché hanno riversato su di te il male,hanno tramato insidie; ma non avranno successo.
13 Rise, Yahweh, in your power! We wil sing and make music in honour of your strength.	13 Hai fatto loro voltare la schiena,quando contro di loro puntavi il tuo arco.
	14 Àlzati, Signore, in tutta la tua forza:canteremo e inneggeremo alla tua potenza.
