Psalms 21

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Yahweh, the king rejoices in your power; How your saving helpfills him with joy!	1 Del maestro de coro. Salmo. De David.
2 You have granted him his heart's desire, not denied him the prayer of his lips.Pause	2 Yahveh, en tu fuerza se regocija el rey; ¡oh, y cómo le colma tu salvación de júbilo!
3 For you come to meet him with blessings of prosperity, put a crown of pure gold on his head.	3 Tú le has otorgado el deseo de su corazón, no has rechazado el anhelo de sus labios. Pausa.
4 He has asked for life, you have given it him, length of days for ever and ever.	4 Pues le precedes de venturosas bendiciones, has puesto en su cabeza corona de oro fino;
5 Great his glory through your saving help; you invest him with splendour and majesty.	5 vida te pidió y se la otorgaste, largo curso de días para siempre jamás.
6 You confer on him everlasting blessings, you gladden him with the joy of your presence.	6 Gran gloria le da tu salvación, le circundas de esplendor y majestad;
7 For the king puts his trust in Yahweh; the faithful love of the Most High wil keep him from fal ing.	7 bendiciones haces de él por siempre, le llenas de alegría delante de tu rostro.
8 Your hand wil reach all your enemies, your right hand al who hate you.	8 Sí, en Yahveh confía el rey, y por gracia del Altísimo no ha de vacilar.
9 You will hurl them into a blazing furnace on the day when you appear; Yahweh wil engulf them in his anger, and fire wil devour them.	9 Tu mano alcanzará a todos tus enemigos, tu diestra llegará a los que te odian;
10 You wil purge the earth of their descendants, the human race of their posterity.	10 harás de ellos como un horno de fuego, el día de tu rostro; Yahveh los tragará en su cólera, y el fuego los devorará;
11 They have devised evil against you but, plot as they may, they will not succeed,	11 harás perecer su fruto de la tierra, y su semilla de entre los hijos de Adán.
12 since you will make them turn tail, by shooting your arrows in their faces.	12 Aunque ellos intenten daño contra ti, aunque tramen un plan, nada podrán.
13 Rise, Yahweh, in your power! We wil sing and make music in honour of your strength.	13 Que tú les harás volver la espalda, ajustarás tu arco contra ellos.
	14 ¡Levántate, Yahveh, con tu poder, y cantaremos, salmodiaremos a tu poderío!
