1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh, my soul!	1 Alleluia. Lodate il Signore, perchè è bello il salmeggiare; sia gradita al nostro Dio e, decorosa la lode.
2 I wil praise Yahweh al my life, I will make music to my God as long as I live.	2 Il Signore, che riedifica Gerusalemme, raduna i dispersi d'Israele.
3 Do not put your trust in princes, in any child of Adam, who has no power to save.	3 E' lui che risana quelli dal cuore infranto, e fascia le loro piaghe,
4 When his spirit goes forth he returns to the earth, on that very day al his plans come to nothing.	4 Che conta il numero delle stelle e le chiama tutte a nome.
5 How blessed is he who has Jacob's God to help him, his hope is in Yahweh his God,	5 Il Signore nostro è grande, somma è la sua potenza, e la sua sapienza non ha limite.
6 who made heaven and earth, the sea and al that is in them. He keeps faith for ever,	6 Il Signore protegge i mansueti, ma umilia fino a terra i superbi.
7 gives justice to the oppressed, gives food to the hungry; Yahweh sets prisoners free.	7 Intonate inni di ringraziamento al Signore, salmeggiate al nostro Dio sulla cetra.
8 Yahweh gives sight to the blind, lifts up those who are bowed down.	8 E' lui che ricopre il cielo di nubi e prepara la pioggia per la terra; che produce sui monti il fieno e gli erbaggi in servizio dell'uomo.
9 Yahweh protects the stranger, he sustains the orphan and the widow. Yahweh loves the upright,buthe frustrates the wicked.	9 Dà il loro cibo ai giumenti e ai piccini dei corvi quando a lui gridano.
10 Yahweh reigns for ever, your God, Zion, from age to age.	10 Non si diletta della forza del cavallo, nè pregia le gambe dell'uomo:
	11 Il Signore si compiace in quelli che lo temono e in quelli che sperano nella sua misericordia.
