Psalms 146

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh, my soul!	1 ALLELUIA. Lauda, anima mea, Dominum;
2 I wil praise Yahweh al my life, I will make music to my God as long as I live.	2 laudabo Dominum in vita mea, psallam Deo meo, quamdiu fuero.
3 Do not put your trust in princes, in any child of Adam, who has no power to save.	3 Nolite confidere in principibus, in filiis hominum, in quibus non est salus.
4 When his spirit goes forth he returns to the earth, on that very day al his plans come to nothing.	4 Exibit spiritus eius, et revertetur in terram suam; in illa die peribunt cogitationes eorum.
5 How blessed is he who has Jacob's God to help him, his hope is in Yahweh his God,	5 Beatus, cuius Deus Iacob est adiutor, cuius spes in Domino Deo suo,
6 who made heaven and earth, the sea and al that is in them. He keeps faith for ever,	6 qui fecit caelum et terram, mare et omnia, quae in eis sunt; qui custodit veritatem in saeculum,
7 gives justice to the oppressed, gives food to the hungry; Yahweh sets prisoners free.	7 facit iudicium oppressis, dat escam esurientibus. Dominus solvit compeditos,
8 Yahweh gives sight to the blind, lifts up those who are bowed down.	8 Dominus illuminat caecos, Dominus erigit depressos, Dominus diligit iustos,
9 Yahweh protects the stranger, he sustains the orphan and the widow. Yahweh loves the upright,buthe frustrates the wicked.	9 Dominus custodit advenas, pupillum et viduam sustentat et viam peccatorum disperdit.
10 Yahweh reigns for ever, your God, Zion, from age to age.	10 Regnabit Dominus in saecula, Deus tuus, Sion, in generationem et generationem.
