1 [Psalm Of David] Yahweh, hear my prayer, listen to my pleading; in your constancy answer me, inyour saving justice;	1 Salmo di Davide. SIGNORE, ascolta la mia orazione, Porgi l’orecchio alle mie supplicazioni; Per la tua verità, e per la tua giustizia, rispondimi.
2 do not put your servant on trial, for no one living can be found guiltless at your tribunal.	2 E non venire a giudicio col tuo servitore; Perciocchè niun vivente sarà trovato giusto nel tuo cospetto.
3 An enemy is in deadly pursuit, crushing me into the ground, forcing me to live in darkness, like thoselong dead.	3 Perciocchè il nemico perseguita l’anima mia; Egli ha fiaccata, ed atterrata la mia vita; Egli mi fa giacere in luoghi tenebrosi, Come quelli che son morti già da lungo tempo.
4 My spirit is faint, and within me my heart is numb with fear.	4 E lo spirito mio spasima in me; Il mio cuore è tutto smarrito dentro di me.
5 I recal the days of old, reflecting on al your deeds, I ponder the works of your hands.	5 Io mi rammemoro i giorni antichi; Io medito tutti i tuoi fatti; Io ragiono delle opere delle tue mani.
6 I stretch out my hands to you, my heart like a land thirsty for you.Pause	6 Io spiego a te le mie mani; L’anima mia è intenta a te, come terra asciutta. Sela
7 Answer me quickly, Yahweh, my spirit is worn out; do not turn away your face from me, or I shal belike those who sink into oblivion.	7 Affrettati a rispondermi, Signore; Lo spirito mio vien meno; Non nasconder da me la tua faccia, Sì che io sia renduto simile a quelli che scendono nella fossa.
8 Let dawn bring news of your faithful love, for I place my trust in you; show me the road I must travelfor you to relieve my heart.	8 Fammi sentir la mattina la tua benignità, Perciocchè io mi confido in te; Fammi conoscer la via per la quale ho da camminare, Perciocchè io levo l’anima mia a te.
9 Rescue me from my enemies, Yahweh, since in you I find protection.	9 Signore, riscuotimi da’ miei nemici; Io mi riduco a te per nascondermi.
10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your generous spirit lead me on even ground.	10 Insegnami a far la tua volontà; Perciocchè tu sei il mio Dio; Il tuo buono Spirito mi guidi nella terra della dirittura.
11 Yahweh, for the sake of your name, in your saving justice give me life, rescue me from distress.	11 O Signore, vivificami, per amor del tuo Nome; Tira fuor di distretta l’anima mia, per la tua giustizia.
12 In your faithful love annihilate my enemies, destroy al those who oppress me, for I am your servant.	12 E per la tua benignità, distruggi i miei nemici, E fa’ perir tutti quelli che affliggono l’anima mia; Perciocchè io son tuo servitore
