Psalms 101

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 [Of David Psalm] I wil sing of faithful love and judgement; to you, Yahweh, will I make music.	1 David. Psalmus. Misericordiam et iudicium cantabo; tibi, Domine, psallam.
2 I wil go forward in the path of the blameless; when will you come to me? I wil live in purity of heart, inmy house,	2 Intellegam in via immaculata; quando venies ad me? Perambulabo in innocentia cordis mei, in medio domus meae.
3 I wil not set before my eyes anything sordid. I hate those who act crookedly; this has no attraction forme.	3 Non proponam ante oculos meos rem iniustam; facientem praevaricationes odio habebo, non adhaerebit mihi.
4 Let the perverse of heart keep away from me; the wicked I disregard.	4 Cor pravum recedet a me, malignum non cognoscam.
5 One who secretly slanders a comrade, I reduce to silence; haughty looks, proud heart, these I cannotabide.	5 Detrahentem secreto proximo suo, hunc cessare faciam; superbum oculo et inflatum corde, hunc non sustinebo.
6 I look to the faithful of the land to be my companions, only he who walks in the path of the blamelessshall be my servant.	6 Oculi mei ad fideles terrae, ut sedeant mecum; qui ambulat in via immaculata, hic mihi ministrabit.
7 There is no room in my house for anyone who practises deceit; no liar wil stand his ground where Ican see him.	7 Non habitabit in medio domus meae, qui facit superbiam; qui loquitur iniqua, non stabit in conspectu oculorum meorum.
8 Morning after morning I reduce to silence al the wicked in the land, banishing from the city ofYahweh al evil-doers.	8 In matutino cessare faciam omnes peccatores terrae, ut disperdam de civitate Domini omnes operantes iniquitatem.
