1 Solomon then began building the house of Yahweh in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah where David hisfather had had a vision -- on the site which David had prepared -- on the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.	1 Começou Salomão a edificar o templo do Senhor em Jerusalém, sobre o monte Moria, que tinha sido designado a Davide, seu pai, no lugar que Davide tinha preparado na eira de Ornan Jebuseu.
2 He began building it on the second day of the second month of the fourth year of his reign.	2 Começou a edificá-lo no segundo mês do quarto ano do seu reinado.
3 These are the dimensions which Solomon fixed for the structure of the house of God: its length incubits, according to the old standard, was sixty cubits and its width twenty cubits;	3 Estes são os fundamentos que Salomão lançou para edificar a casa de Deus; sessenta côvados de comprido segundo a antiga medida, e de largura vinte côvados.
4 and the portico in front of the house was the ful width of the house, that is, twenty cubits, and its heightwas a hundred and twenty cubits; on the inside he overlaid it with pure gold.	4 O pórtico da frontaria, cujo comprimento correspondia à largura da casa, era de vinte côvados; e a altura era de vinte côvados. Salomão mandou-o dourar todo por dentro de ouro puríssimo.
5 The Great Hall he lined with juniper, which he overlaid with fine gold and ornamented with palm treesand festoons,	5 Mandou também revestir de madeira de cipreste a parte maior do templo, mandou chapear tudo de lâminas de ouro puríssimo, e mandou esculpir nela palmas e umas como cadeiazinhas, enlaçadas umas nas outras.
6 and he decorated the hall beautifully with precious stones and with gold from Parvaim,	6 Mandou pavimentar o templo com mármore preciosíssimo, com muitas decorações.
7 overlaying the hal , its beams and its thresholds, its walls and its doors, with gold and engraving thewal s with great winged creatures.	7 O ouro das lâminas, de que mandou cobrir o edifício, as suas traves, os pilares, as paredes e as portas, era finíssimo. Mandou também esculpir uns querubins nas paredes.
8 He also made the Holy of Holies, the length of which corresponded to the width of the Great Hal , beingtwenty cubits, with a width of twenty cubits, and this he overlaid with fine gold weighing six hundred talents,	8 Fez também a construção (chamada) Santo dos Santos, cujo comprimento, que correspondia à largura do templo, era de vinte côvados, e cobriu de lâminas de ouro, de quase seiscentos talentos de peso.
9 while the weight of the gold nails was fifty shekels. He also overlaid the upper rooms with gold.	9 Mesmo os pregos eram de ouro; cada um deles pesava cinquenta siclos. Revestiu também de ouro as câmaras altas.
10 In the Holy of Holies he model ed two winged creatures of wrought metal work and overlaid them withgold.	10 Fez no interior do Santo dos Santos duas estátuas de querubins e cobriu-as de ouro.
11 The total span of their wings was twenty cubits; one wing, being five cubits long, touched the wal ofthe house and the other wing, being five cubits long, touched the wing of the other winged creature;	11 As asas dos querubins (em conjunto) tinham vinte côvados de extensão; uma asa do primeiro tinha cinco côvados e tocava numa parede do templo, e a outra asa, que tinha também cinco côvados, tocava na asa do segundo querubim;
12 while one wing of the other, five cubits long, touched the other wall of the house and the other wing,five cubits long, touched the wing of the other winged creature.	12 da mesma sorte, uma asa do segundo querubim, de cinco côvados, tocava na parede do templo, e a outra asa, igualmente de cinco côvados, tocava a asa do primeiro querubim.
13 The spread of these creatures' wings was twenty cubits. They stood in an upright position, with theirfaces towards the Hall.	13 Assim as asas destes dois querubins, abertas, tinham vinte côvados de extensão. Eles estavam postos em pé, e os seus rostos virados para o templo exterior.
14 He also made the Curtain of violet, scarlet, crimson and fine linen, working a design of wingedcreatures on it.	14 Fez um véu de jacinto, de púrpura, de escarlate e de linho fino, e mandou bordar nele querubins.
15 In front of the Hal he made two pil ars thirty-five cubits high, and on the top of each a capitalmeasuring five cubits.	15 Fez diante da porta do templo duas colunas, tinham trinta e cinco côvados de altura terminadas com capitéis de cinco côvados.
16 He made festoons, in the Debir, to go at the tops of the pil ars, and made a hundred pomegranates togo on the festoons.	16 E fez também umas cadeiazinhas, como para o santuário, e pô-las sobre os capitéis das colunas, com cem romãs, que entrelaçou nas cadeiazinhas.
17 He erected the pil ars in front of the Temple, one on the right, the other on the left; the one on the righthe cal ed Jachin and the one on the left, Boaz.	17 Pôs estas colunas no vestíbulo do templo, uma à direita, e outra á esquerda; à que estava à direita chamou-a Jaquim, e à que estava à esquerda chamou-a Booz.
