NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Solomon then began building the house of Yahweh in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah where David hisfather had had a vision -- on the site which David had prepared -- on the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.	1 Salomón comenzó a construir la Casa del Señor en Jerusalén, sobre el monte Moria, donde el Señor se había aparecido a su padre David, en el lugar que había preparado David sobre la era de Ornán, el jebuseo.
2 He began building it on the second day of the second month of the fourth year of his reign.	2 Comenzó la construcción en el segundo mes, en el cuarto año de su reinado.
3 These are the dimensions which Solomon fixed for the structure of the house of God: its length incubits, according to the old standard, was sixty cubits and its width twenty cubits;	3 Y estas son las bases fijadas por Salomón para edificar la Casa de Dios: el largo medía treinta metros, o sea, sesenta codos de la antigua medida, y el ancho era de diez metros.
4 and the portico in front of the house was the ful width of the house, that is, twenty cubits, and its heightwas a hundred and twenty cubits; on the inside he overlaid it with pure gold.	4 El Vestíbulo que estaba al frente, cuya longitud cubría todo el ancho de la Casa, era de diez metros, y tenía una altura de sesenta metros. Además, lo recubrió por dentro de oro puro.
5 The Great Hall he lined with juniper, which he overlaid with fine gold and ornamented with palm treesand festoons,	5 A la nave central la revistió de madera de ciprés y luego la recubrió de oro fino, sobre el que hizo representar palmeras y guirnaldas.
6 and he decorated the hall beautifully with precious stones and with gold from Parvaim,	6 Recubrió la nave con un decorado de piedras preciosas, y el oro empleado era oro de Parvaim.
7 overlaying the hal , its beams and its thresholds, its walls and its doors, with gold and engraving thewal s with great winged creatures.	7 También revistió de oro los postes, los umbrales, los muros y las puertas de la nave, e hizo grabar querubines sobre las paredes.
8 He also made the Holy of Holies, the length of which corresponded to the width of the Great Hal , beingtwenty cubits, with a width of twenty cubits, and this he overlaid with fine gold weighing six hundred talents,	8 Hizo asimismo el recinto del Santo de los santos: su longitud, que cubría todo el ancho de la Casa, era de diez metros, y tenía diez metros de ancho. Y lo revistió con seiscientos talentos de oro fino.
9 while the weight of the gold nails was fifty shekels. He also overlaid the upper rooms with gold.	9 El peso de los clavos era de cincuenta siclos de oro, y recubrió de oro el artesonado.
10 In the Holy of Holies he model ed two winged creatures of wrought metal work and overlaid them withgold.	10 Hizo dos querubines, obra de escultores, en el interior del Santo de los santos, y se los revistió de oro.
11 The total span of their wings was twenty cubits; one wing, being five cubits long, touched the wal ofthe house and the other wing, being five cubits long, touched the wing of the other winged creature;	11 Las alas de los querubines medían diez metros de largo: un ala del primer querubín, de dos metros y medio, tocaba el muro de la Casa; la otra alta, de dos metros y medios, tocaba el alta del otro querubín.
12 while one wing of the other, five cubits long, touched the other wall of the house and the other wing,five cubits long, touched the wing of the other winged creature.	12 Un ala del otro querubín, de dos metros y medio, tocaba el muro de la Casa; la otra ala, de dos metros y medio, se juntaba con el ala del primer querubín.
13 The spread of these creatures' wings was twenty cubits. They stood in an upright position, with theirfaces towards the Hall.	13 Así, las alas desplegadas de los dos querubines medían diez metros. Ellos estaban erguidos sobre sus pies, con el rostro vuelto hacia el interior.
14 He also made the Curtain of violet, scarlet, crimson and fine linen, working a design of wingedcreatures on it.	14 Salomón hizo además el velo de púrpura violeta y de púrpura roja, de carmesí y de lino, sobre el cual hizo bordar querubines.
15 In front of the Hal he made two pil ars thirty-five cubits high, and on the top of each a capitalmeasuring five cubits.	15 Delante de la Casa hizo colocar dos columnas de diecisiete metros y medio de alto, rematadas por un capitel de dos metros y medio.
16 He made festoons, in the Debir, to go at the tops of the pil ars, and made a hundred pomegranates togo on the festoons.	16 Hizo guirnaldas en forma de collar y las puso en lo alto de las columnas; además, hizo cien granadas y las colocó en las guirnaldas.
17 He erected the pil ars in front of the Temple, one on the right, the other on the left; the one on the righthe cal ed Jachin and the one on the left, Boaz.	17 Y erigió las columnas al frente del Templo, una a la derecha y otra a la izquierda. A la columna derecha la llamó Iaquím, y a la izquierda, Boaz.
