NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Solomon then began building the house of Yahweh in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah where David hisfather had had a vision -- on the site which David had prepared -- on the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.	1 Salomão começou a construção do templo do Senhor, em Jerusalém, no monte Mória, para isso designado por Davi, seu pai, no mesmo lugar que Davi preparara, na eira de Ornã, o jebuseu.
2 He began building it on the second day of the second month of the fourth year of his reign.	2 Foi no segundo dia do segundo mês, no quarto ano de seu reinado, que iniciou a obra.
3 These are the dimensions which Solomon fixed for the structure of the house of God: its length incubits, according to the old standard, was sixty cubits and its width twenty cubits;	3 Estes são os fundamentos determinados por Salomão para a construção do templo: de comprimento, sessenta côvados, segundo a antiga medida; de largura, vinte côvados.
4 and the portico in front of the house was the ful width of the house, that is, twenty cubits, and its heightwas a hundred and twenty cubits; on the inside he overlaid it with pure gold.	4 O pórtico, que se achava no frontispício, e cujo comprimento correspondia à largura do edifício, tinha vinte côvados, e vinte de altura. Era revestido de ouro puro por dentro.
5 The Great Hall he lined with juniper, which he overlaid with fine gold and ornamented with palm treesand festoons,	5 A grande sala foi forrada de ciprestes; ele a guarneceu de ouro puro nos lugares em que estavam esculpidas as palmas e as pequenas cadeias.
6 and he decorated the hall beautifully with precious stones and with gold from Parvaim,	6 Ornou esta sala com pedras preciosas; o ouro era de Parvaim.
7 overlaying the hal , its beams and its thresholds, its walls and its doors, with gold and engraving thewal s with great winged creatures.	7 O rei revestiu de ouro a sala: traves, umbrais, paredes e portas; nas paredes mandou esculpir querubins.
8 He also made the Holy of Holies, the length of which corresponded to the width of the Great Hal , beingtwenty cubits, with a width of twenty cubits, and this he overlaid with fine gold weighing six hundred talents,	8 Fez também a construção da sala do Santo dos Santos, cujo comprimento, igual à largura do edifício, era de vinte côvados. O valor do ouro fino, com que o recobriu, era de seiscentos talentos.
9 while the weight of the gold nails was fifty shekels. He also overlaid the upper rooms with gold.	9 Mesmo os pregos eram de ouro e pesavam cinqüenta siclos. Revestiu igualmente de ouro os aposentos.
10 In the Holy of Holies he model ed two winged creatures of wrought metal work and overlaid them withgold.	10 Para o interior do Santo dos Santos, mandou esculpir dois querubins e os revestiu de ouro.
11 The total span of their wings was twenty cubits; one wing, being five cubits long, touched the wal ofthe house and the other wing, being five cubits long, touched the wing of the other winged creature;	11 O comprimento de suas asas era de vinte côvados; uma asa do primeiro, de cinco côvados de comprimento, tocava a parede da sala, e outra, de cinco côvados, tocava a asa do segundo querubim.
12 while one wing of the other, five cubits long, touched the other wall of the house and the other wing,five cubits long, touched the wing of the other winged creature.	12 Uma asa do segundo querubim, de cinco côvados de comprimento, tocava a parede da sala, e a outra, de cinco côvados de comprimento, tocava a asa do primeiro.
13 The spread of these creatures' wings was twenty cubits. They stood in an upright position, with theirfaces towards the Hall.	13 Assim, a envergadura das asas destes querubins era de vinte côvados. Sustentavam-se sobre seus pés, com o rosto voltado para a sala.
14 He also made the Curtain of violet, scarlet, crimson and fine linen, working a design of wingedcreatures on it.	14 O rei mandou fazer uma cortina em púrpura violeta, carmesim e linho fino, e nela mandou bordar querubins.
15 In front of the Hal he made two pil ars thirty-five cubits high, and on the top of each a capitalmeasuring five cubits.	15 Diante do edifício, levantou duas colunas de trinta e cinco côvados de altura, tendo no alto um capitel de cinco côvados.
16 He made festoons, in the Debir, to go at the tops of the pil ars, and made a hundred pomegranates togo on the festoons.	16 Como para o santuário, fez pequenas cadeias, colocou-as no cimo das colunas, e suspendeu nelas cem romãs.
17 He erected the pil ars in front of the Temple, one on the right, the other on the left; the one on the righthe cal ed Jachin and the one on the left, Boaz.	17 Levantou colunas, uma à direita e outra à esquerda da fachada do templo: chamou à da direita Jaquim e à da esquerda Boaz.
