1 Solomon then began building the house of Yahweh in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah where David hisfather had had a vision -- on the site which David had prepared -- on the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.	1 Salomo begann, das Haus des Herrn in Jerusalem auf dem Berg Morija zu bauen, wo der Herr seinem Vater David erschienen war, an der Stätte, die David bestimmt hatte, auf der Tenne des Jebusiters Arauna.
2 He began building it on the second day of the second month of the fourth year of his reign.	2 Er begann den Bau im zweiten Monat, im vierten Jahr seiner Regierung.
3 These are the dimensions which Solomon fixed for the structure of the house of God: its length incubits, according to the old standard, was sixty cubits and its width twenty cubits;	3 Dies sind die Grundmaße, die Salomo für den Bau des Hauses Gottes festlegte: Die Länge betrug sechzig Ellen - die Elle nach dem früheren Maß gerechnet - und die Breite zwanzig Ellen.
4 and the portico in front of the house was the ful width of the house, that is, twenty cubits, and its heightwas a hundred and twenty cubits; on the inside he overlaid it with pure gold.	4 Die Halle vor dem Hauptraum war zwanzig Ellen breit, entsprechend der Breite des Hauses, und zwanzig Ellen hoch. Er überzog sie innen mit purem Gold.
5 The Great Hall he lined with juniper, which he overlaid with fine gold and ornamented with palm treesand festoons,	5 Den Hauptraum vertäfelte er mit Zypressenholz, überzog dieses mit echtem Gold und brachte Palmen und kettenförmige Bänder darauf an.
6 and he decorated the hall beautifully with precious stones and with gold from Parvaim,	6 Auch schmückte er das Haus mit kostbaren Steinen. Das Gold war Parwajimgold.
7 overlaying the hal , its beams and its thresholds, its walls and its doors, with gold and engraving thewal s with great winged creatures.	7 So überzog er das Haus, die Balken, die Schwellen, seine Wände und Türen mit Gold und ließ in die Wände Kerubim einschnitzen.
8 He also made the Holy of Holies, the length of which corresponded to the width of the Great Hal , beingtwenty cubits, with a width of twenty cubits, and this he overlaid with fine gold weighing six hundred talents,	8 Er schuf den Raum des Allerheiligsten. Seine Länge betrug zwanzig Ellen, der Breite des Hauses entsprechend, und seine Breite zwanzig Ellen. Er überzog es mit echtem Gold im Gewicht von sechshundert Talenten.
9 while the weight of the gold nails was fifty shekels. He also overlaid the upper rooms with gold.	9 Für die Nägel verwendete er Gold im Gewicht von fünfzig Schekeln. Auch die Obergemächer ließ er mit Gold verkleiden.
10 In the Holy of Holies he model ed two winged creatures of wrought metal work and overlaid them withgold.	10 Im Raum des Allerheiligsten ließ er zwei Kerubim anfertigen . . . und mit Gold überziehen.
11 The total span of their wings was twenty cubits; one wing, being five cubits long, touched the wal ofthe house and the other wing, being five cubits long, touched the wing of the other winged creature;	11 Die Flügel der Kerubim hatten zusammen eine Spannweite von zwanzig Ellen. Der Flügel des einen war fünf Ellen lang und berührte die Wand des Hauses Der zweite Flügel war fünf Ellen lang und berührte den Flügel des anderen Kerubs.
12 while one wing of the other, five cubits long, touched the other wall of the house and the other wing,five cubits long, touched the wing of the other winged creature.	12 Der Flügel des zweiten Kerubs war fünf Ellen lang und berührte die Wand des Hauses und auch der andere Flügel war fünf Ellen lang und stieß an den Flügel des ersten Kerubs.
13 The spread of these creatures' wings was twenty cubits. They stood in an upright position, with theirfaces towards the Hall.	13 Die Flügel dieser Kerubim hatten eine Spannweite von zwanzig Ellen. Sie selbst standen auf ihren Füßen und ihre Gesichter waren dem Innenraum zugewandt.
14 He also made the Curtain of violet, scarlet, crimson and fine linen, working a design of wingedcreatures on it.	14 Er verfertigte auch den Vorhang aus blauem und rotem Purpur, aus Karmesin und Byssus und brachte darauf Kerubim an.
15 In front of the Hal he made two pil ars thirty-five cubits high, and on the top of each a capitalmeasuring five cubits.	15 Für die Vorderseite des Hauses machte er zwei Säulen von achtzehn Ellen Höhe. Das Kapitell auf ihnen maß fünf Ellen.
16 He made festoons, in the Debir, to go at the tops of the pil ars, and made a hundred pomegranates togo on the festoons.	16 Dazu schuf er kettenförmige Bänder und brachte sie oben auf den Säulen an. Auch machte er hundert Granatäpfel und befestigte sie an den kettenförmigen Bändern.
17 He erected the pil ars in front of the Temple, one on the right, the other on the left; the one on the righthe cal ed Jachin and the one on the left, Boaz.	17 Die Säulen stellte er vor dem Tempel auf, die eine auf der rechten, die andere auf der linken Seite. Die rechte nannte er Jachin, die linke Boas.
