NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Al the tribes of Israel then came to David at Hebron and said, 'Look, we are your own flesh and bone.	1 Alle Stämme Israels kamen zu David nach Hebron und sagten: Wir sind doch dein Fleisch und Bein.
2 In days past when Saul was our king, it was you who led Israel on its campaigns, and to you it was thatYahweh promised, "You are to shepherd my people Israel and be leader of Israel." '	2 Schon früher, als noch Saul unser König war, bist du es gewesen, der Israel in den Kampf und wieder nach Hause geführt hat. Der Herr hat zu dir gesagt: Du sollst der Hirt meines Volkes Israel sein, du sollst Israels Fürst werden.
3 So al the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a pact with them inYahweh's presence at Hebron, and they anointed David as king of Israel.	3 Alle Ältesten Israels kamen zum König nach Hebron; der König David schloss mit ihnen in Hebron einen Vertrag vor dem Herrn und sie salbten David zum König von Israel.
4 David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned for forty years.	4 David war dreißig Jahre alt, als er König wurde, und er regierte vierzig Jahre lang.
5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah for seven years and six months; then he reigned in Jerusalem over allIsrael and Judah for thirty-three years.	5 In Hebron war er sieben Jahre und sechs Monate König von Juda und in Jerusalem war er dreiunddreißig Jahre König von ganz Israel und Juda.
6 The king and his men then marched on Jerusalem, on the Jebusites living in the territory. These said toDavid, 'You wil not get in here. The blind and the lame wil hold you off.' (That is to say: David will never get inhere.)	6 Der König zog mit seinen Männern nach Jerusalem gegen die Jebusiter, die in dieser Gegend wohnten. Die Jebusiter aber sagten zu David: Du kommst hier nicht herein; die Blinden und Lahmen werden dich vertreiben. Das sollte besagen: David wird hier nicht eindringen.
7 But David captured the citadel of Zion, that is, the City of David.	7 Dennoch eroberte David die Burg Zion; sie wurde die Stadt Davids.
8 That day, David said, 'Whoever gets up the tunnel and kil s a Jebusite . . .' As for the blind and thelame, David hated them with his whole being. (Hence the saying: the blind and the lame may not enter theTemple.)	8 David sagte an jenem Tag: Jeder, der den Schacht erreicht, soll die Jebusiter erschlagen, auch die Lahmen und Blinden, die David in der Seele verhasst sind. Daher sagt man: Ein Blinder und ein Lahmer kommt nicht ins Haus.
9 David went to live in the citadel and cal ed it the City of David. David then built a wal round it, from theMil o inwards.	9 David ließ sich in der Burg nieder und nannte sie die Stadt Davids. Und David begann ringsum zu bauen, und zwar vom Millo an bis zur Burg.
10 David grew stronger and stronger, and Yahweh, God of Sabaoth, was with him.	10 David wurde immer mächtiger und der Herr, der Gott der Heere, war mit ihm.
11 Hiram king of Tyre sent envoys to David, with cedar wood, carpenters and stone-cutters, who builtDavid a palace.	11 Hiram, der König von Tyrus, schickte eine Gesandtschaft zu David und ließ ihm Zedernholz überbringen; auch Zimmerleute und Steinmetzen schickte er und sie bauten für David einen Palast.
12 David then knew that Yahweh had confirmed him as king of Israel and, for the sake of his peopleIsrael, had extended his sovereignty.	12 So erkannte David, dass der Herr ihn als König von Israel bestätigt hatte und dass der Herr sein Königtum wegen seines Volkes Israel zu hohem Ansehen gebracht hatte.
13 After coming from Hebron, David took other concubines and wives in Jerusalem, and sons anddaughters were born to him.	13 Als David von Hebron gekommen war, nahm er sich noch Nebenfrauen, auch Frauen aus Jerusalem. So wurden ihm noch mehr Söhne und Töchter geboren.
14 These are the names of those born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,	14 Das sind die Namen der Söhne, die ihm in Jerusalem geboren wurden: Schima, Schobab, Natan, Salomo,
15 Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia,	15 Jibhar, Elischua, Nefeg, Jafia,
16 Elishama, Eliada, Eliphelet.	16 Elischama, Eljada und Elifelet.
17 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed as king of Israel, they all went up to seekhim out. On hearing this, David went down to the stronghold.	17 Die Philister hörten, dass man David zum König von Israel gesalbt hatte. Da zogen alle herauf, um David gefangen zu nehmen. David erfuhr davon und zog sich in eine Bergfestung zurück.
18 When the Philistines arrived, they deployed in the Val ey of the Rephaim.	18 Als die Philister herankamen und in der Rafaïterebene umherstreiften,
19 David consulted Yahweh and asked, 'Shal I attack the Philistines? Wil you deliver them into mypower?' Yahweh replied to David, 'Attack! I shal certainly deliver the Philistines into your power.'	19 befragte David den Herrn; er sagte: Soll ich die Philister angreifen? Wirst du sie in meine Hand geben? Der Herr antwortete David: Greif sie an; denn ich werde die Philister bestimmt in deine Hand geben.
20 Accordingly, David went to Baal-Perazim and there David defeated them. He said, 'Yahweh has madea breach in my enemies for me, as though they had been breached by a flood.' This is why the place was giventhe name Baal-Perazim.	20 Da zog David nach Baal- Perazim. Dort schlug er die Philister und sagte: Der Herr hat die Reihen meiner Feinde vor meinen Augen durchbrochen, wie Wasser (einen Damm) durchbricht. Deshalb nennt man jenen Ort Baal-Perazim (Herr der Durchbrüche).
21 They had left their gods behind them there, and David and his men carried them off.	21 Die Philister ließen dort ihre Götterbilder zurück, sodass David und seine Männer sie mitnehmen konnten.
22 Again the Philistines invaded and deployed in the Valley of the Rephaim.	22 Doch die Philister zogen noch einmal herauf und streiften in der Rafaïterebene umher.
23 David consulted Yahweh, who replied, 'Do not attack them from the front; go round to their rear andengage them opposite the balsam trees.	23 David befragte wieder den Herrn und der Herr antwortete ihm: Zieh nicht hinauf, umgeh sie in ihrem Rücken und komm von den Baka-Bäumen her an sie heran!
24 When you hear the sound of footsteps in the tops of the balsam trees, advance, for that wil beYahweh going out ahead of you to defeat the Philistine army.'	24 Wenn du dann in den Wipfeln der Baka-Bäume ein Geräusch wie von Schritten hörst, dann beeil dich; denn dann geht der Herr vor dir her, um das Heer der Philister zu schlagen.
25 David did as Yahweh had ordered and beat the Philistines from Gibeon to the Pass of Gezer.	25 David tat, was der Herr ihm befohlen hatte, und er schlug die Philister (im ganzen Gebiet) zwischen Geba und der Gegend von Geser.
