1 I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is (also) a minister of the church at Cenchreae,	1 Vi raccomando Febe, la nostra sorella, che è diaconessa nella chiesa di Cencre:
2 that you may receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the holy ones, and help her in whatever she may need from you, for she has been a benefactor to many and to me as well.	2 accoglietela nel nome del Signore, in maniera degna dei santi, e assistetela in qualunque cosa abbia bisogno di voi, poiché anch'essa è stata di aiuto per molti e anche per me stesso.
3 Greet Prisca and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus,	3 Salutate Prisca e Aquila, collaboratori miei in Cristo Gesù:

17 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles, in opposition to the teaching that you learned; avoid them.	17 Vi esorto poi, fratelli, a guardarvi dai fautori di discordia e intralci contro la dottrina che voi avete imparato: evitateli!
18 For such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the innocent.	18 Gente come loro, infatti, non servono a Cristo nostro Signore, ma alla loro cupidigia, e con parole carezzevoli e promesse di benedizioni ingannano l'animo dei semplici.
19 For while your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I want you to be wise as to what is good, and simple as to what is evil;	19 La fama della vostra obbedienza è giunta a tutti. Gioisco quindi per causa vostra, ma voglio che voi siate saggi per il bene e immuni dal male.
20 then the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.	20 Il Dio della pace schiaccerà Satana sotto i vostri piedi, presto! La benevolenza del Signore nostro Gesù sia con voi.
