2 I cry aloud to God, cry to God to hear me.	2 Hangosan kiáltok az Úrhoz, hangosan kérem Istent, hogy figyeljen rám.
3 On the day of my distress I seek the Lord; by night my hands are raised unceasingly; I refuse to be consoled.	3 Szorongatásom napján Istent keresem, éjjel is hozzá emelem kezeimet: nem lankadnak el. Nem akar megvigasztalódni a lelkem.
4 When I think of God, I groan; as I ponder, my spirit grows faint. Selah	4 Sóhajtozom, ha Istenről elmélkedem, eleped a lelkem, ha rá gondolok.
5 My eyes cannot close in sleep; I am troubled and cannot speak.	5 Szememet ébren tartod, nyugtalan vagyok, beszélni sem tudok.
6 I consider the days of old; the years long past	6 A hajdani időkre gondolok, a régmúlt esztendők járnak eszemben.
7 I remember. In the night I meditate in my heart; I ponder and my spirit broods:	7 Szívem elmélkedik éjszaka, gondolkodom és töpreng a lelkem.
8 "Will the Lord reject us forever, never again show favor?	8 Vajon örökre elvet Isten, s nem kegyelmez többé?
9 Has God's love ceased forever? Has the promise failed for all ages?	9 Végleg elfogyott irgalma, elmarad nemzedékről nemzedékre szálló ígérete?
10 Has God forgotten mercy, in anger withheld compassion?" Selah	10 Elfelejtette Isten a könyörületességet, vagy haragjában visszatartja irgalmát?
11 I conclude: "My sorrow is this, the right hand of the Most High has left us."	11 Így szóltam: »Az az én bajom, hogy megváltozott a Fölségesnek jobbja.«
12 I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, your wonders of old I will remember.	12 Megemlékezem az Úr cselekedeteiről, megemlékezem csodáidról amelyeket kezdettől műveltél,
13 I will recite all your works; your exploits I will tell.	13 Elmélkedem minden műveden, és végzéseiddel foglalkozom.
14 Your way, O God, is holy; what god is as great as our God?	14 Isten, szentséges a te utad; Ki olyan nagy Isten, mint a mi Istenünk?
15 You alone are the God who did wonders; among the peoples you revealed your might.	15 Te vagy az Isten! Te csodákat művelsz, megmutattad a népeknek hatalmadat.
16 With your arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. Selah	16 Karoddal megváltottad népedet, Jákob és József fiait.
